General Discussions - Non 300ZX

Hiya, I wanted to get the windows done at some point....am i right in thinking the best way to have it done is actually have it put in the glass? Does this basically mean you need new glass or what, i knw nothing about this? Also it true you have to let 70% of the light in to keep it legal..but i spose if u get good quality stuff it will look pretty dark from the outside but still let loads of light in? Anyone got any ideas on pricing and recommend anyone? Cheers, Dan :cool:

...........I whooped his ass!! Much to my suprise after reading all the threads about MR2's being quicker upto 60mph and all that...... Both at the lights, he revved up (I was quite happy to just drive off from the lights) and the dump valve gave it away, thought to myself, do I don't I? Lights went green and I thought fluff it..........both went for it, was close call upto about 40-50mph and then I just started to leave him, zipped round an island one left and right hand bend (sweeping bends!) stopped at next set of light and waited about 5-6 seconds for him to appear, wound down his window and shouted over asking what BHP I was running, said wasn't sure …

Iv just bought a new 2nd car as my daily drive about till i get my Zed back! Iv imported it myself, and it will be unloaded from the ports nxt friday! I just wanted to know what will i be paying in custom and excise or VAT (dont know wat i have to pay), iv recieved the shipping bill which has no VAT on it, the car is a 1995 model and i dont seem to have a clue about what i have to pay and also does anyone know any good sva conversion companys in southampton! How far are you allowed to drive the car to be MOTed?

bought an apexi rev speed meter of chris@getGReedy and was wondering if anyone else has one there exactly the same size as the boost controller and the air fuel controller.advice please! 1/a diagram for wiring in to ECU speed sensor,rpm,ign,ground wires so any colour diagrams for these associated wires would be much appreciated 2/where to mount the unit also as i want it so i can see clearly whilst driving!obviously where light from daytime wont effect viewing display 3/Iv got a stand to mount the unit on also!again where can i put it any advice what so ever would be great,as i dont want to take it to an auto electritian …

Guys, A lad at work with a standard MR2 Turbo reckons that he can beat not onyl my car, 300zx tuned to high 300bhp's, but alos kick the arse of any s14 on a 1/4 mile strip. He also reckons that a standard MR2 does the 1/4 mile in 13.5s...... How can this be, my 300zx standard has a quicker 0-60 and 0-100, and yet he claims his 1/4 mile time is better than most 300zx standard 1.4 times of about 14 seconds...... What do u guys think? I am def goign to race him just to keep him quiet I think!!

Anyone here going to silverstone this weekend for the Le Mans endurence stuff and formular 3000? Only £30 for the weekend camping, entrance and seat in a stand.

Whats the law regarding driving with no MOT? A friend is driving his car with no mot until he gets work done to it next week then it will pass. Are there any fines etc for driving with no mot?

Further to my mate including anti-Zed comments in his Fast Ford interview, he has now reckons he can beat any Zed owner over a standing 1/4 in his 350-380bhp Sapphire Cosworth (4x4) I am obviously going to do my best, however what I would really like is for several Zed's to stuff him at Santa Pod. We are aiming at USC (6-8th August). Inetersted parties? By the way I don't think a standard Zed would come close.

My mate a Escort Cossie and this other bloke has a Evo 6 they are both offering me up on a race although at the mo i'm not racing till i've got the cam belt changed, but before i do who will win. The Cossie is running 300Bhp with Anti Lagged turbo. The Evo is standered. And i will be running when we race, Ecu, Airfilter, UnderDrive pulley, Straight throughs and earth kit. oh and it's a TT. I can't loose to them, would i win or not, it will be a motorway so it will be done on a straight line on a roll.

I think Im a very lucky guy! I just went to the Police station to surrender my license for 3 points for speeding and the kind lady said "oh dear he hasnt put your reg. down!" "We cant enforce it, your have to go to court" So where do stand?

Has anyone owned a Z31? Are they any good, and what are they like now after more than 14 years? What are the differences between the Z31 and 32? I know maybe this is a question for the old Z club, but I just wondered if anyone had had one and moved on. Any original owner who went from the one to the other?
