As some of you know one of my turbo's ceased on the way to Billing last weekend. It's been on the cards for some time now as they are stock turbo's which have been on the car from new (i.e. 15 years and 80k miles). I'm hoping that only the turbo's need changing and no other damage has been done. There are no metal filings in the boost hoses and the car still idles fine (although a little smokey from the passenger side). The car is currently sitting on my parents drive in Maldon (Essex) which is 5 mins from SE (hopefully I won't need to go there after I finish  ). I'm going to be doing the work myself. I'm looking at fitting the following: JWT 5…

Well couldnt be ****ed to cook today, so I opted for a nice goodfellas takeaway style funky chicken pizza! Missus put it in the fridge instead of freezer, DOH!!! cook from frozen only. Oh well this is how it turned out from refrigirated.... Tried it in a tray but it just wouldnt cook, but was too floppy to go on the shelf, so, we had to put it on the shelf in the end. Half of it fell through the grate and proceeded to bake itself to the bottom of our oven

After months of building and encountering problems of my sound system i'm now considering taking it out at the mo i must be easily pushing 150db easily. but the prob with it is it weighs about a person-person and half. This slows me down loads although i've tuned it up a bit now i think it will be worth while saying bye to the lot. and replacing it with the JL Audio stealth box which apparently weighs not much at all getting this means i can get a smaller amp mine is well heavy and take out the optima and get a slightly better battery for the front prehaps a small red top. Has anyone heard how loud the JL set up is?

Nice day, wasps were a tad fookin mental,Donna and the kids enjoyed it,(wasps permiting :( ),thanks to John Dixon doing a Conzult, after which i did not run as it showed i have a prob with det sensor, especialy the wiring for it from connector,(bare wires, dodgy solder etc)and found that i had real bad split in hard pipe and they were very loose,so in all was running in saftey boost, but Z still seems very rapid so cant wait to get it on full boost :D I think fasted time recorded was from John, think it was a 13.3,sure he will post the correct time,Chunk was trying to get a good one in but i dont think his Z likes the warm weather, somewhere around 14sec i think,Mike Feeny ra…

A few of you have said before that if you do a full decat you run the risk of the oil seals on the turbs coming loose and leaking and as mine have done 120k reckon theres a fair chance the decat will finish them off! Sooo....anyone know how much a pair of stock turbs cost...and would this solve the prob...or would the seals go on the new ones as well...do you need to drop diff tubs in if you do a decat?? Cheers, DAN

Hi, I've heard you can get an anti-lag system on turbo cars that basically keeps the turbos spinning continiously....think they use it on Rally cars. Anyone know much about this and where you can get it done and costs etc etc?? Cheers, Dan

Personally a fooking brill Idea for me, my Z is a daily drive. But I only drive about 10 miles a day!!! and sometimes it sits still for days while I cycle etc. What are your thoughts? I'll prolly be giving it a go. I guess you will be charged X amount per mile based on the value / risk of your car??

At least ten years late and zillions over budget...... MOD people said that machine cannons not needed so could save £90,000,000 by not having them on the second batch for UK. Said that the weight could be replaced by concrete and lead....... Engineers then said that the shape of the replacement must be the same as the guns otherwise aerodynamics will be upset....... Not only that but the weight distribution of the replacement must be the same as the guns....... So the best thing to do would be to fit the guns! It's true I'm not making it up. Saving £3,500,000 by not having any ammo.

yesterday me and me mate went out in my z driving down the motorway and noticed the temp gauge needle creeping above halfway and thought this aint normal. So i whacked the heating on full blast nothing happened before i knew it the temp gauge was right at the top! shat meself and took it steady all the way home! i laughed when i noticed that when i fitted the chrome speedo dials from danny! the one for the temp gauge was catching on the bezel so a word of warning to fellow z owners fitting chrome dial surrounds fit them properly like i dident do LOL ps..funny know :D not at the time :( greg ;)

I've been wanting to put the grounding kit from Pete on all week and finally got the chance today. Also tightened the throttle cable and attempted to fix the leaky roof (don't know how successful I've been with that, but in no hurry to find out). Was going to start cleaning the engine bay, but the temptation to go for a drive was too much for me. The car certainly felt a lot more lively - how much of this was due to the ECU reset I'm not sure, but the wing mirrors did seem to go in / out quicker than before! Thanks again to Pete for such quality kit, although it does look a little out of place in my engine bay with everything else being so dull! Will at…
