They stopped selling them in the UK in 1994 - reason ? tighter emissions legislation meant it would have been difficult and restrictive to make the cars conform. Result ? Older Zeds have lower emissions limits in MOTs. Consequence ? If you want a high powered car, it will chuck out more pollutants. Therefore, it should be much easier and less restrictive to have an older high performance car, where you can boost power with little restriction of tighter emissions regs. Am I right ? And like the argument for buying land..."they aint making anymore"!!

Jeezus! I've got enough to do at work without putting up with yet another sodding scam! Got 'Official Notification' through the post today that that I am in breach of the Data Protection Act :confused: They will be 'enforcing' it and taking me to court for failure to register, and I will be getting a fine of £5,000.00 and a possible prison sentence :eek: The only way out of it is to register NOW, by sending off this form with tons of info on, and sending it .........with a cheque for £135.00 made payable to 'Registration Fees'! No contact numbers or proper addresses, just a pre-printed envelope with a PO box number on it. I filled it in with a load of shi…

Well, ordered the paint today. I was eating a madras and liked the orangy burtn colour of the oil, so I took a sample of my tandoori to the local body shop and got them to mix up some paint that colour. Gonna pick it up tomorrow. For that authentic feel, i'm going to use the thinner 50/50 and mix in some curry pouder with the mix so that it gives the car that fragrent curry house smell.

It looks like it could be a modded 99 spec?

I just tried to subscribe by bank transfer (as per the instructions on the thread). My bank (HSBC) said they couldn't do it as the account number only had seven digits and it should be eight. Is there any other way to subscribe without using PayPal?

Well following on from the pizza thread I can cook when I want to this is my lunch tonight (crappy focus on picture tho) Chicken breast, pork sausafe wrapped in smoked bacon and a stuffing ball (by my own fair hand) in it also. 3 Yorkshires, a load of potatos (cut, dusted in flour and coated in oil) roasted, fresh cauliflour and brocolli with sliced carrots and sweed. Oh and some bisto to boot! Gotta be me favorite meal that. Anyone else got a favorite better than that?

I have taken my headlights apart and I want to make them look chrome clear on the inside (the black plastic). One way is to paint them with chrome paint but i dont think it will look that good. I was wondering if anyone knows any place in UK where they can chrome plastic Thanks

LET'S HAVE A HEATED DEBATE! Why oh why is it assumed that the import ZX's are somehow inferior to the UK spec ones. As far as I can see, the ultimate problem with UK cars, and a problem that can't be overcome, is that there are all getting on a bit. The snow and the wet of this island is taking it's toll. Rust is now biting deep. And you cannot easily overcome this fault. The arguments for the UK ones seem, to me, weak in comparison to watching your black car go rusty red. The mechanicals are the same...ish. But Jap Spec cars have less tinrot. Mine had none..at all. All the apparent mechanical deficiencies of the JAP spec seem to be fixable. And it does …

now, ive beem a member of the porsche club great britain and the bmw seven series register with my previous cars, but i have to say the one thing that stops me selling my zed with all its problems is this site and the people on it. the guys ive met in person have been superb and theres no snottyness in the club. the people who ive chatted to that make me wanna keep my car when its cost me 3 grand in 4 months are shunter, steve-o, stevo and greg. keep it up guys as without u i would not have me zed and its a great car.

Just wondering what percentage of people have roofs that leak when it starts honkin' it down. Am i in the majority or minority. Mines fookin leakin' :mad:

Just had Autoglass round to sort out a chip I picked up yesterday in my windscreen. Took 15 min and what a good job. Well happy with the result. And even better that the insurence company pick up the tab and costs me nothing and will not go against my no claims (Not that I know what one is)!

I've been thinking about getting a SWB for a little while now, especially as I never use the rear seats anyway, so hear she is :dance: Mods. Engine is stock apart from cat back exhaust, lowered, alloys, spoiler and side skirts. Going to take next week off and transfer everything across. edit:excuse the grainy pics, my camera is playing up.
