Hey folks im considering importing a classic from the US and was looking into details on how to get it over here. Has anyone done this before? It would help to know the step by step from buying and getting the car picked up from someones house right to the car being released in a UK port for me to get picked up. Value will be anything between 3k-10k Cheers Marty

I could do with some advice if so :) I have been told that for BT infinity they can only put this on the master socket - in my house I have this in my kitchen. I want the router behind the TV where I have an existing telephone point so I can keep my media player, PS3 & sky box all conected via ethernet cables. Any idea if this can be converted to the master socket in any way or is it a rewire jobbie?! I have read that they can join wires behind the master socket baseplate to the extension socket & convert it in this way - is this possible? cheers in advance :)

Not for me, but I have a close friend that I'm trying to find a new car for, he owns his own bodyshop and is doing reasonably well so far and wants to treat himself. I've fed up with him having chavvy peugeot 306s and stuff, he needs something more modern and quick. So budget of upto £3000, needs to be petrol and turbo, and less than 10 years old ideally. he plans to get an Evo 6 at the end of the year so needs something to tide him through until then :thumbup1: Any suggestions please? He was looking at astra coupe turbos but IMO that falls into the chav bracket.. :clown:

Me being impulsive, ive bought another toy. I had a 318ti sport compact a few years ago in a px. Me being a massive Bmw fan, i took it, but it was too slow. I thought about putting a 328 engine in it, but reading into it and it was a pig of a job. It got sold on, then i bought my first M3. I read a guys thread on the M3 forum, he was putting a 328 engine into a compact. He got it on up and running and decided it was going to be a track car. All the interior trims are gone and it has 1 seat! He said he's too busy to use it, so put it up for sale for £1250. Ive bought it. Needs more to finish it that i thought. Still on the stanadard suspension and r…

Can you try this internet speed tester and see if you get the same results as you did before? I'm trying to work out whether it's that site that's causing me wildly different results every time or my ongoing BT infinity problem. I don't need to know what your results are just whether or not your speed keeps jumping about. Last test I did said I was getting 3Mbps download and 16Mbps up  http://www.speedtest.net Cheers Steams
