Yesterday the extreme wind and rain where I live hit us hard with numerous trees downed and even hedgerows blow down, the rain was relentless all day yesterday and the local area looks more like paddy fields! the wind was flipping scarey, we have large trees on our property and surrounding area and was watching them sway back and forward just hoping they would not come down!! then our power went off and stayed off for nearly 12 hours, no central heating, no light, no kettle! and of course no internet connection !! argh!! our flippping garage roof did not fair to well either, madness that 6 or so miles away where the workshop is was less effected! Looking at the …

Its my Uncles 60th Birthday coming up and I want to get him a motorsport experience.. He lives in East Kilbride. Whats the nearest circuit, best options for a 60 year old (very active) maybe thinking even a 4x4 experience? Anything considered.. Ill contact them directly as you always get a better package if you do it that way rather than through a red letter experience

Me and the Mrs went for a cheapo carvery last Saturday teatime. We took the Range Rover as the Z has a power steering leak. Wow, didn't think the Z having a power steering leak would potentially save injury or even life! We stopped, signalled and with brake lights on, waited for oncoming traffic to clear and a lady to exit the car park in her car. Must of been at least 10 seconds when I heard an almighty squealing of tyres, looked into the rear view mirror and watched an open top double decker bus smash into the back of us at what must of been 25 to 30mph! What a noise! As my foot was already on the brake our Rangie barely moved forward!! I pulled a few yards forward…

  14. I know over the years I have had a few people PM me asking for options for phone installations on Mercedes that left the factory with out the phone prep option. It was very expensive to retrofit the Mercedes system (over £1500 last time I checked) & the only option was a Parrot stand alone system that did not work though the cars controls. I have now found an aftermarket system that will give full factory operation of the phone system for a lot less. Works in most models from around 2003/2004 onwards. Also available for BMW's & VW/Audi I cant remember who I have spoke to about this but if anyone wants more info then let me know :)

Hi all, looking to your extensive knowledge for some advice. I've got an Impreza wrx that I've been slowly breaking and the last bit to take off is the rear diff and driveshafts that I'm selling to a friend for £50. Ive removed it all apart from the drivers side driveshaft from the hub. I've undone the nut but it just doesn't want to come out the hub. I've tried hammering the hell out of it, pulling, pushing but it just doesnt move. Has anyone got any ideas of what I can do as the shell is being collected tomorrow and also with only selling it for £50 I dont want to spend too much on removal. Thanks in advance everyone! Virtual pint for all who help or a real on…

Ayrton Senna 'The Whole Story' by Christopher Hilton It's a compilation of several other Christopher Hilton books on Senna and is a comprehensive insight into the life and career of the man himself, from his early days of karting, racing in F1, to Imola and beyond. I highly recommend this to any Senna or F1 fan.... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ayrton-Senna-The-Whole-Story/dp/1844250962/ref=sr_1_sc_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1335262014&sr=1-1-spell
