General Discussions - Non 300ZX

Im getting frustrated... Is there any way to override the preset write speed on DVD writeable media? apparently they all have a tag from the manufacturer which dictates the max speed. got some media that is branded as 4x writeable but on examining the tag its not specified so nero defaults to 2x max... am i best ditching the pile of disks or can it be overridden? OK, lets get the 'funnies' out of the way first, " Well turn up the brightness" and "Take off your shades" :p :nana2: Right, my settings are set to maximum, and I mean MAX!!! But it still is a lot darker then the one I'm on at the moment at work. There is also a very, very slight 'ripple' going up the screen all the time :confused: Anyone with an idea as to what is wrong with it, or is it time to call it a day and buy a new one? TIA

Got a parking fine on Sat and really pissed off with the private parking company, it said on the fine if i don't return the fine they can get my details from the DVLA, is this right can any company get my home address from the DVLA? I was parked just over the white line due how easy it is getting out of a Z

Ive just read a review on this car and **** me its fast!!! 0-60 claimed to be 3.5secs (with W.O.T. all the way tho) :shock: how the hell do they do that with a 2.0 4cyl single turbo????? im sure i know what the FQ stands for now ;)

Thanks to Ryan (again, boring :rofl: ) and Mike (Herman) for the help ;) in pulling the lump out last week. Was a good learning experience and I was surprised at how quickly an engine can be removed, I think it took me longer to remove the exhaust the other week pmsl :D A few pics Cheers Pete

I took my car in today for an oil change and to get Ryan to do a water bypass. He very quickly established that the water bypass had already been done and that the hose to the heater matrix was the problem (and saved me £220 in the process). While his brother with small hands ;) fixed the hose, Ryan sorted out the oil, water, antifreeze and power steering fluid and gave my car a general look over for other problems. He found an oil leak from the crankcase and I'll have no hesitation in going back to him to get it sorted. Top bloke, outstanding customer service and very, very knowledgable. A rare thing these days. I wish him all the best when he goes full-time :)

As above...... .....Since I bought the Rav-4 I've been using it most days for my 25 mile a-road (single carriageway) treck to work each day, saving the ZX for weekends and holiday trips. I took the ZX to work today, now usually in the dark it has recently been taking me 40 minutes to get home...... .....However in the ZX it took me ......just over 25 minutes to cover he 25 miles :dance: :dance: Overtaking the tossers who amble along at 40mph on the dark 60mph A413 was a breeze - no one held me up as the ZX flew past everyone at 80mph, exploiting every small gap in oncoming traffic. Feck fuel consumption, winter weather, etc I really have missed …

I've decided to give it a go and re-vamp my rides section, to make it into one of those where you open to a full web type page instead of the individual links. Well attempt number one is up, and although I cant seem to work out how to get the hyperlinks to work properly, it looks OK. I've produced it in MS FrontPage, and have uploaded the Index and various pages, but the links just dont work :cry: Any IT tech'y types who know what I'm on about, and can help? Would be much appreciated, thanks :bow:

Would like to thank everyone who made it to the meet at the Boat Inn in Solihull, 25 names were down and 21 turned up Very well done to all.
