General Discussions - Non 300ZX

Hello everyone, I have been thinking about building a 'carputer' into my new car. I have tried to get help at mp3car.com, but the quality of the answers over there are not even near the response you get over here, therefore it would be nice if you could tell me if you know about this :) I have been thinking about buying a ready computer, as the ones you can find on mp3car.com, and just hook it up to my car radio and have an external tuch screen. What do I need to do this? Of course I need some sort of power supply/inverter and the cables to hook up the computer to the stereo, but what else? I would like to be able to watch DVD's, use GPS and of course play musi…

i had told stuey i would buy some back boxes from him but due to ilness and other family difficulties over the last couple of months (mostly ok now) i did not get back to him i havent even been online, so to stuey i am really sorry as i am a person of of my word under normal circumstances

Yesterday in school i was standing outside with a few of the lads(daily routine) and one of the lads told me that the irish government are basically banning modified cars. Some rubbish about: 1.No spoilers over 10cm high unless standard. 2.No bonnet scoops. 3.No tinted windows. 4.No induction kits. 5.No aftermarket lights. Someone please tell me what is going on because i dont know whether its true or not(dont read a paper until tomorrow and need to know before then)

Ive been using Lucas octane booster in my Z has anybody else used it ? what are the long term effects of using this stuff. There is a massive boost in performance with it. :confused:

one thing ive noticed in various mags and sites is the elevated bhp claims ,now i think we are all guilty of this in some degree and i think we should try and get a bit more real here,if for instance a certain persons car is proven on a rolling road with certain modifications and has a read out then maybe we all could use this as some form of guide lines for others :rant: :x:

Due t the fact that my turbo has gone on the drivers side and it puffs out enough smoke to cause a severe fog weather warning my Z has been left at my mom's house in The Midlands for a couple of weeks. I've popped up today to remove the interior panels only to find that some fooker has tried to screw my drivers door lock! Fortunately they did not get in and I think the dog's disturbed then but none the less they have knackered the lock and pulled the door handle surround out about 10mm.

what is it and am i entilted to it, was talking to a mate of mine about how much tax i pay a week now i earn 9.25 pound an hour i work 37.5 hours a week which works out at about 348 a week before tax i pay about 90 pound a week tax, that includes my national insurance number im engaged and live with my fiancee in a house that we are currently buying am i entiteled to any sort of benefits cheers in advance allan

Today i went to fill up some air in my wheel and i couldnt seem to fit the air nozzle in the metal valve as its right in between the alloyso i had to move the valve slightly to the left in all of the tyres and in doing so i broke 2 :headvswal so today i had to fit the small spare wheel at the rear and the front right tyre is slowly getting flat this all happened during my lunch time so i coudnt go back to work. i went to many garages including kwik fit who coudnt do it the garage who is going to order it from is charging me 15 pounds per valve and im getting 2. im goin to wales next week ill be doing alot of miles and needed my car sorted also…

I have 19' wheels on my zed and tyres are silly money as you can imagine. I have always ran on toyos but I need tyres bad and with christmas etc dont have £400 I need for them. I was getting tyres for the co car today from one of my clients and he can do me Falkin tyres (the model below the top spec) for £130 per tyre fitted. Size are 19' 265 30s. Anyone ran these and know what there like! They seem to get a decent right up! Seemed cheap though!

It passed!!! :bow: tester said it was the bestist 300ZX he's ever seen ;) also said blue ones are far more likely to pass 1st time - much better than those red ones :D on a more serious note, this is the 1st MOT iv done on a zed since we become computerised (for MOT's - all stations will). & on the test sheet that gets printed out it now states that these cars are NON cat test!

Was on my way home tonight and a 350Z was following me for a bit, got to a double lane road with him next to me and tried baiting him but he wouldnt bite (must have seen THAT episode of Top Gear). So just driving along and ended up behind him cos there was a van parked in the middle of my lane unloading things.
