Just thought i'd pipe up and say 'ello. Bought my first zed about a week ago, pics attached. I'm guessing it might have belonged to a club member at some point cos its got a 300zx.co.uk sticker on it (not sure if it was put on by the guy I bought it off) So if anyone recognises it let me know! Its the jap import manual TT. Really happy with it so far having moved up from a 1.2 corsa... bit of a difference. Had a bit of a hairy moment in the wet but otherwise absolutely lovin it! Not sure if this is the right place but have a few questions if anyone can help - Firstly my clock isnt working, my o/h hasnt checked the fuses yet but on all the ones we looked at…

I made the decision to start my quest to find a 300zx later in the year, so i thought i'd join as i wanted to know what to look for when buying one. Its a great site and have already had some help from members cheers! I have a ukdm super marine 2.0 1998 honda prelude at the moment, it has 17" lenzo rs6 rims, tein super street dampers, and a full stainless exhaust on it. The prelude will stay as my work car and the zed will be the toy :) [/img]

Hi there This is my second intro as i used to own a 300ZX NA Convertible some years back which i sold to Topless, However, i now am an owner of a very nice 300ZX Twin Turbo 2+2, purchased off MarkyMark, who i have to say is one of the nicest sellers of a car i've ever meet, The car needs a little TLC which i'm happy to give it, Mark is being so helpful in an after sales role, and i shall also be asking more and more questions on here, some stupid ones, some not so... Previously i used to be the owner of a Toyota MR2 NA Which some kind woman decided to pay more attention to the sky and flowers than to the car in front turning, when she did look round, she …

Hi everyone, Thought i would just stick a quick note and say hi to everyone!! I am currently looking to change my car to some kind of sports car and basically want as much information as i can about the car i am thinking about, which is a 300zx twin turbo. Might seem a bit strange joining before buying one, but in March of next year i will be doing a trip of about 8,000miles in the matter of 10 days, and im saying 8,000miles as the minimum i think i will do. so basically if anyone has any advise on things to look out for on these which could cause a problem doing that many miles in such a short space of time i would like to be told in advance really. …

Hi everyone, I'm Paul, from Coventry in the sunny Midlands. I've just secured my first ZX, she's a 1990 300ZX Twin Turbo automatic, in red. She was imported a few years back, and has since had a brand new engine (not a recon) fitted. That was less than 3,000 miles ago. I've bought her off a friends Dad, who is terminally ill, and has spent thousands on her, anything that was needed, was done with no expense spared. I'm extremely lucky to have got hold of this car, and I plan on keeping her for a good few years. I drive a Volvo 850 T5, with 320bhp, as my daily drive, and as I have that, I won't be taking the ZX out in the rain. From now on, she's a dry days …

Hello 300ZXists We would like to become traders on here, and would be interested to learn what's involved. We have been on the SXOC for a long time, and recently joined the 350Z-UK board with great success, and have offered wheels specific to both types of car at excellent prices. We are the UK distributor for Rota wheels, and carry around 10,000 in stock at all times, and send out 2000 wheels per month. Let me know what I have to do, and I will be happy to put some deals and discounts together! Thanks Ben

Hi all, I'm hopefully joining the ZX fold soon; Had a supra TT a while ago now and after driving around with a third/half the power, I think it's time I got back into something Jap and Turbo! Decided to give the zx a try as I've loved em since I was lil' and can afford the insurance now! anyway, hopefully I'll spend a while here, been scouring the site for info for a while now and it's been very helpful!

Hi all, I have a Blitz sbc boost controller fitted, and it seems to work. I am told there is a scramble feature on it. Q1 : What is a scramble feature? Q2 : How do I find, and use it? And....... My reverse light no longer work, them that know tell me I need a new wireing harness from the g/box (manual) to the r/h/f wing. Q3 : Where can I find one of these? It's a Z32 TT manual and if I ever grow up, I'll still love it. Any help would be great. Cheers.

Hi all, Absolutely delighted to join the community after getting my 300ZX on 29/06/09. In love with the Z ever since it was announced in 1989 and finally allowed my heart to reign my head. 300ZX NA TARGA MANUAL in pearlescent white. I would have attached some photos but not sure how to do that. Regards, Pervez

Howdy, names Martin, from Cork in Ireland, but moved to Christchurch in New Zealand just last month. Just bought a 300ZX NA, looking at them for a while and while I wanted a TT the funds didnt allow it. Loved them for ages, think the looks are pure 90's Jap supercar. And even though she's na and auto (yes I know auto :)) I couldnt pass her up. Bit of minor bodywork to be done but the interior is spotless and the engine bay is clean and runs nicely. Not used to driving RWD 3.0L cars as I have an FTO GPX in Ireland, even though the horsepower is similar the RWD does make a difference when used to FWD! I have a pure newbie question, while I know my other car inside out…

Hi all, The dreaded bay meant I was slightly misled :headvswal (to be fair the owner didn't know there was a single turbo version!) and ended up buying an ex japanese stripped out single turbo with adjustable Recaros - for not many euros at all :) It stinks of cat pee and needs the earth strap replacing to the bulkhead - but runs fine and sounds incredible. I'll be tearing up a track soon and wanted to know if I should look for upgrades or just run it to death as is - then get a 'proper' twin turbo to replace it. what is the general opinion on the MK1? Ideas for upgrade/improvement with track use in mind? Not afraid to get dirty - rebuild my old cars as…

Hi everyone, Bit of a long story, but I'll try to keep it short! I have a car for work and have another car for the weekends. This is my introduction, from about 3 years worth of changes! I've always loved the feel of acceleration, and ended up having an MR2 turbo (sorry). Looked ok as far as they can, but at the end of the day, I felt like a complete mincer being seen in it and telling people what I drove. It was about 2005/2006 and it was time for a change, everyone had skylines or poopras and I wanted something different and loved the look of the Zed. Never driven one before and thought I'd lose that feeling that the MR2 gave as the Zed was bigger and he…

Hello again, I say again as I joined this site just over 2 years ago when I was thinking of buying A 300 then. In the end I bought a Celica GT4 ST205 which is now over 300bhp, trouble is I want more power and it's just not worth the money to get it IMO so I think it's time to Upgrade :D I've had a look through the buyers guide etc and I'm going round taking cars for drives ATM just to get a feel for the good ones from the bad ones so to speak. Got to sell my four yet but I'm in no rush so thought I'd start hanging out here and learn a bit about the car I'm planning to buy. I'm after a SWB TT manual Targa, which as far as I can work out are rare as hens teeth, bu…

Hiya All Just wanted to say before i get going that I don't own a 300zx as yet  I currently own a Prelude 2.2 vtec, but can't wait to sell trade it in for a Z. I went up to Crest Cars in High Wycombe, to see a few examples. It was mostly a quick lesson in what to avoid when buying a car: 1.The address given for the "garage" on the website was actually the meeting place that the dealer uses - we met him there and followed him half a mile down the road to a house with a garden full of old jap cars. Hmmmm. 2. Nick spotted an oil-leak straight away coming from the left side of the engine bay 3. The boost gauge either didn't work or it was te…
