  2. Hi everyone. Came to start the z today and guess what? it didn't. The engine turns over and fires up for a few seconds and then stops. It must be getting a spark in order to start for a few seconds so could this be a fuel problem? any advice please. all the best for this festive season everyone trev

front pass floor wet could be a heater matrix prob.i have just had the same with mine and it was the haeter matrix leaking inside the car. not a good job to replace it easily!

  6. hi all. i know this sounds like a simple question.i have a 1990 na 300zx and would like to know if the brake pads are the same as a tt.[ calipers are 26mm one,s i think!.] reading the threads on here i know the callipers are not 30mm but are the pads the same?.if the na's are different where can i get some from as the local surpliers will not have a listing for them. thanks again everyone. trev.

  8. Hi All, I'll start with a brief history. Bought a Jap import NA last September - had it 3 weeks and some dozy sod wrote it off for me!!! Bought the car back off insurance and bought new wing and sidelight from AndyZ (excellent service). Got new exhaust from blue flame who are just up the road from me. bought new shocks and rear spoiler from zcentre (again, excellent advice and service) just got a few questions for anyone out there. 1. I bought the new shocks because I was getting a vague wobble at the back which shocks sorted (good advice from zcentre).Got 4 new tyres and also got 4 wheel alignment done when I was told there is silicone dripping from the subframe mounting bushes. Where is best to buy these bushes from and does anyone know of anywhere in the northwest where I can get them fitted. 2. Heater matrix leaked into footwell - bought the primera one that I will need to have fitted.Tried to fit it myself but am afraid to say was defeated by the one bolt in the bulkhead and too many cuts on knuckles!! 3. I have got a vibration from the propshaft so will also need that doing - any advice on that would be greatly appreciated. 4. noticed that the car had detonation problems so checked the timing and found that it was 29 deg BTDC so adjusted to 15 deg, car stopped detonating but had to adjust the CAS right over on the slots to get it to 15 deg. Read a thread on here saying that this could be due to the timing belt being one or two teeth out. Got told that a new timing belt had been fitted when I bought it but think it might be worth getting this checked out. Am enjoying the car but would love to know if there are any decent mechanics in the northwest who I can take it to for service and advice. cheers to everyone who posts on this forum - loads of good advice and tips. sorry about the long thread but I need help!! car specs 1990 NA Auto Jap import central 20 tuning badge on back of car volks racing alloys (need refurb) would appreciate any feedback thanks in advance Trev
