  1. Yeah they are part of a multi dealership franchise (Fiat/Nissan etc) If i get nowhere with the manager at Nissan (who so far have been reluctant to help sand not very understanding) i will go down headoffice and see someone down there.
  2. the o2 sensor fault im not bothered about as ive fixed that..one of the induction pipes was loose so its possible it could have been losse when i put it into NissanIts the leak thats still there is my problem.Surely if they had 'tested' it afterwards they would have noticed a leak stil present.I bet they just ran it on idle for 10mins but it never leaked on idle anyway just at 60-70mph when pressure was up and i told them that when i put it in! Arrgghhh
  3. the only reason i went here is because they could fit me in this week and had to get it sorted this week and nobody else would touch it in my area! if this doesnt get sorted to cause a scene! So might here about a Z owner going ape in a Nissan delership it will be me!
  4. One question can they charge me if the car still 'leaks' and has the same symptoms as before when they have alledgedly 'tested' it?Im not paying for the work to be done as im not paying that amount of labour charge for something should have been fixed when the gearbox was off! Im so ANGRY i dont think i can sleep!
  5. As some of you know ive had some oil leak problems on my Z and as its 'sold' part of the deal was to get the leak sorted,so booked it into Nissan dealership as they could fit me in this week. My sysmptoms where oil/fluid from bellhousing but i had a suspicion it was leaking from somewhere else as well. Anyway it went in runing fine apart from the leak. This is what invoice says 'Investigate oil leak from engine-traced to rear main oil seal-also from o/s turbo feed.repair to emlimnate oil leak.refit componments and TEST OK OIl & Filter changed in repair ATF fluid topped up They Called today to pick up the car but it wasnt running right do to '02 sensor fault' I presumed it was the o2 sensor that was crimped together rather than soldered and took the car. On the way home it was reving all over the place with misfiring. When i got back checked o2 sensors where connected so called dealership to complain basicaly they fobbed me off saying that i took the car with the 'fault' so it wasnt their fault as they hadnt touched the o2 sensors!Anyway i discovered that one of the hard pipes was loose so air was going straight into the throttle body!!!reconected the pipe and reset ECU and seems to run fine with code 55 but something still isnt right about it. also discoved one of my alarm wires ripped off the battery! So took the car out and discovered after some dual-carigeway driving the damn thing still leaks AT fluid from bellhousing causing smoke off exhasut FFS! i Im not too bothered about the running fault as i ve 'fixed it myself' but im livid that theres still a leak. I called up to complain about the leak and they foobed me off till Monday 'Theres no manager in at weekend' *****X I SAY!Even then i bet they will try charge me to investigate the AT fluid leak as surely this should have been noticed wwhen the gearbox was removed and refilled! And they appatently have 'TESTED' it-Well the couldnt have up to running temperature and pressure if theres still a leak otherwise they would have noticed it! So basically ive still got a leak,im £820 lighter and i cant pick up my Supra on Sunday Where can i go from here? Somebody told me beings i paid on credit card i can claim money back for shoddy work? im still going in tommorow to complain though!
  6. As he says there will be a build up of oil in places it shouldnt be-take a while to get it out of the system.
  7. My new ones 'rattled' when i got them! My old ones didnt realy move at all! new ones in and i havent had to clean the tailpipe for over a week where it it used to be black as fook!
  8. Took it to Nissan and it aint the rear main seal-something to do with the turbo with oil leaking onto the bellhousing-its under investigation as we speak... Oil feed/return pipes? Could explain the leak only on boost!
  9. Anybody else up for the Friday journey?
  10. heres some more-My favourite is the 'praying one'
  11. look at this site!
  12. yes he does! He does a set with 3 different diameter hoses- Good price too
  13. Had a chav in a Vectra comment 'nice wheels bruv' at the lights the other day followed by 'Is it a Skyline' Idiot!
  14. I do agree with mate about the headlights mate-though if you like em stick with em! A very nice car! Wel done! :)
  15. Black Z coming the other way-You waved and i did too! Anybody on here?
  16. Well went arounda few places for prices... the usual garage i use were reluctant to touch it.. the second place i went to said 'you cant drop the gearbox on them-its an engine out job!' gave me a price of £550- I laughed and walked out much to the guys displeasure lol The third place i went to was Nissan dealership who wanted 6 hours (Yes 6 hours labour) and cost of parts (£26) to do the job -£480 all in Im going to have to find some where quick though and i dont want to pay that sort on money on a car thats going at theend of the week!So Nissan are looking more and more likely as they can fit mein this week-hardly suprising with those prices eh lol
  17. I think i may have too much oil in the engine as its over the H mark when warm!
  18. that restrictor is the first thing to be removed!
  19. I thougt maybe thnner oil would reduce oil pressure resulting in the oil not be being forced out as much Ive been told if the mains seal is leaking try only putting 3 quaters of oil showing on dipstick... Is this when cold or warm?
  20. cheers guys ive just got to find somebody to do the work now!
  21. Ive been told i you have main seal leakage to try only having 3/4 of the oil on the stick?(ive changed PCV valves and hoses)will thinner oil also help? Is this when cold or warm?

Ive spent 2.5k on mine and its going into garage for more work this week...its going this week to its new owner after ive had all this work done to it! My best piece of advice is get someone from here (this forum) to go with yo or buy a car from a well known member from here. Things unexpected do go wrong on even the most well cared for cars but unfortunately when this does happen it can get expensive to sort due to the complex nature of the car.

Spending 3k?look to spend nearly double getting it right (unless you very lucky) SWb -2 seat LWB -4 seat They say SWB are more desrirable as more stiffer shell and lighter! And 'slicktop' -no targas- even more rare and desirable. manual cars seem to fetch higher prices So SWB Slicktop,Twin Turbo Sicktop are concidered the rarest and most desirable cars LWB are generally cheaper-but if you have kids or want to take passengers are a better option.
  24. I dont think our clamps would fit the Ferrari either!
  25. I saw it in the carpark at work-i did laugh as i walked past the other car park laugh was a brand new Ferrari taking up 2 car spaces-Usually we put a polite notice on them telling them to make sure to only use one bay-but the Boss (who's Italian BTW said it would be sacrilige to put one on it cause 'you would do the same with a car like that' Firstly i take up 2 spaces anyway with the Z secondly, we put a notice on the ferarri anyway wrote down a notice anyway-next time use 3 mate,Nice car!lol
