TBH mate if you arent ready for all that then stand your ground-I had a lovely girlfriend joint bank account/half ownership of a car etc but when she mentioned kids and moving into our own place i got out,got half my savings back and went and bought a Skyline at 20 lol.Everyone of my girlfriends since has had a problem with my fanaticism with cars and my most recent one left me when i said the Zed was going to be off the road for a month (who said girls arent with blokes for their cars lol!)Though my girlfriend i have now really takes an interest in my Zed-i wonder how long that will last when she finds out how much of my money i really spend on it.lol Hope everything goes well and gets sorted

Sorry to hear about your mishaps.TBH it seems like nearly everybody on this Forum has had to spend some money on their Zed when they first get it but you seem to have been one of the unluckiest ive met. Anyway i wouldnt break it-u have had a manual conversion.That must have cost you a bit and the other bits you have bought have made it nearly impossible to recoup anyway near what you have laid out. Take it to a specialist and find out exactly whats wrong and take it from there,theres always light at the end of the tunnel....

Just a thought of fiiting harness setup in my Zed. Can i use the original seats as they have a gap between headrest and seat body.Also how do i secure the the harness?Can i use a mounting from the rear belts or something? Thanks

Youre damn lucky mate! Recently my area has had a lot of car crime,thats probably it My Skyline was cheaper in fact,and my Eunos was very cheap.

I pay 1100 quid TPFT-23years/3years ncb-Skyline experience/parked on drive/cat1/with Flux. TBH as others have said cheap insurance aint gona happen.Remember insuring the damn thing is one thing,but keeping it on the road is entirely different.

Ive spent over 1500 quid on mine since December and theres still loads more to do before im anyway near happy with it. Some people have had luck finding minters for cheap but TBH you get what you pay for. As i always say most people only sell cars when they get something wrong with it.Afterall a fully functioning Zed is worth a lot of money. (Tin of worms opening lol)

Ive heard most senders are fooked after a while so might be best to go for a aftermarket gauge (for accuracy)and pod.I run both standard guage and pod but there isnt much difference between them

Hmm-im still going to try and 'aquire' one lol and make this conversion only cost me the price of bulbs lol

Just secured some stock replacement rear light units to replace my cracked and chipped current ones. Ive seen this conversion kit.. http://www.directcircuit.com/ is there a UK distrubitor of these orI is there a way can make my own?I know im being tight fisted and not paying the 38 dollars lol but i fancy a challenge. Ive heard you can use the material srip light covers are made of for the internal lense.What else do i need?
