  1. Not being funny but I think the last thing the family would want right now is a 300ZX forum contacting them trying to offer there best. Just leave this one alone guys and girls.
  2. Didn't mention the VVT at all if you read the thread, as that is not the problem I was talking about.
  3. There is a very small valve in the block that is supposed to hold the oil in the hydralic valve lifters, when this gets gunged up then it will tap tap tap when cold. About £5 for each valve (2, 1 for each head) and loads of labour to change.
  4. option motorsport no longer exsists, ceased trading about 3 months ago.
  5. Sounds like you lost top gear mate, mechanical and not electrical.
  6. Knock sensor is the same for most of the range, the correct oil filter fits GA16DE engine and RB engines etc. inner dor handles look like primera ones too, and have you looked closely at black cabs, same handles in some versions.
  7. Still want to see some maps to compare. my email is martin@blazt.biz cheers
  8. Dont worry, I am cool. Dan your right, very different products and aimed at different markets. I also have lots of other software which I use for different purposes, like calumsult is the best for bin downloads, works every time. And to do the sensor in situ is tricky but possible, remove the gearbox - hope its manual and take the egr valve off the back of the engine and if you have small enough hands you can get to the sensor this way. The loom you will have to get the pins out of the terminal block to route it properly. I have done this on 3 or 4 cars now and its the best way I have found to do it, and quickest.
  9. I have mines Z32 and Z-Control ones too. I mostly have RB tunes. The JWT tune I saw was not the best, the fuel map had not been changed at all. Just saying what I had seen.
  10. lets see the maps then. Datascan can download them without a problem. There are far too many chips floating around with jap fuel/US fuel etc on them. And a JWT map is bar far the worst I have seen. Nothing changed but the timing.
  11. Offical price for 2006 all in is 40K to do the world tour.
  12. And live life on the DET edge, rather you than me when running higher boost and a good map!! I can hear melted pistons smashing around another buggered VG30 block. This is a saftey device, like an airbag or brakes, skimp on it and it will come back and bite you in the end. Just my 2p worth.
  13. And people with 15 year old cars will have to pay them. Just coz you car cost you £4k doesnt mean parts will be as cheap. It was a 35k car when new, just remember that.
  14. I would still love to see thoose maps, I have some that might be of interest too.
  15. For you info danny I would not wish our product to be associated with yours either. Ours is much cheaper. And you dont need to take the engine out to change a knock sensor at all, its done in situ in 3-4 hours.
  16. 4 hours for a downpipe is a tad excessive I feel.
  17. post some bin file and I will look and see how different they are, I have a mines bin file and Z-control ones.
  18. anyone care to share there bin files then, easily got with datascan and a cable. Just to see how well/badly they are tuned. I usually work with the RB engine but would like to see what they do with the VG30.
  19. Send me a bin file please Jeff, I would like to take a look see. My email is martin.cooksey@ntlworld.com Cheers
  20. Hi guys!! I am Martin Cooksey the UK distrubutor of the cable. Jason pointed me this way. Right so what do you want to know and how many cables shall I get in stock. Martin.
