  1. p.s iridium ones are the next step up from platinum just a more posh material ;)
  2. Iridium tipped ones are their top of the range, supposed to be more efficient. They've got a smaller electrode, supposed to reduce the voltage needed and thus extend the life of the ignition system in the car. The NGK-r are OEM spec ones. So same as nissan spec.

If you need any help checking your old ones mate give me a bell, not far from you ;)
  4. I've done it on mine, my missus got the car at work but i'll take and post a piccie when she gets back. Basically, I bought a steering wheel, and the guys sent me a cheapo boss with it, so I made it fit the Hicas sensors etc inside. So the Hicas is working for a 25.00 boss and I also retained cruise by drilling the wheel and making up a mounting bracket for it. The best bit was I designed it so it supports both sides of the control unit but from only drilling one hole in the wheel ;) so it hardly notices.
  5. p.s having said that the boost guage I ripped apart was well over 10yrs old and so they could have changed the mechanism by now ;) lol
  6. AFAIK the pressure guage works on a spring mechanism, which is attached to a rod which runs back and forth over a small wheel that moves the needle. When pressure is applied in the back of the clock in either way it will press it in or pull the rod (tensioned by the spring) moving the small wheel and thus in turn winding the needle on the gauge round (i dont know the technical name for it perhaps some one can fill me in ;)). The guage should read 0 normaly as this is how the tension is set from factory and the springs/mechanism normal resting place, when there is a negative pressure the vacum is sucked through the hose connecting to the guage hence putting negative pressure on the mechanism (by sucking) moving the rod back and the needle moves down, when aproaching positive boost the negative pressure lessens and once you go above 0 then the positive pressure will force its way through the vacum tube to the mechanism on the guage thus pushing it in and making it rise. So you should be showing 0 when not running, and under 0 (will flux a bit) on tick over if the gauge works diff to above. Then you should see negative until the boost presure rises(you will hear and feel it as you know) then your guage should work into positive.
  7. It can be sanded/flatted down matey. Then just prime and spray over the top of it. It looks much better without it, so go on you know it makes sense ;)
  8. nightmare mate! I swear my car used to be the only Z in swindon, now I see one nearly every day I go out :( I wouldnt mind but one of the guys I spoke to was completly up his own arse and said his stock Z was the fastest and best car in swindon  Then he called me a liar and said that no one else has a Z in swindon?? wtf? lol (i was on foot at time saw him in a car park) There are some rather odd people around! I hope the other drivers I've seen are up to the usual Z calibre (although I did flash a woman driving a Z the other night and she blanked me ?)
  9. Well yeh, I guess it is above the centre of the piccie lol, I know what I meant, top left of the show ;)
  10. Busy place in the top left ;)

  13. big roy we all know he didnt mean you mate lol
  14. To set it straight, a few points... 1) Scoops, the only reason a few of my posts were not constructive was because I sat back and watched the thread in question grow to 12 pages of slagging off fellow Z owners before posting. By this time I had had enough. I guess the line 'Have a word with yourself' thats so often used by you is constructive yes? and don't bite, you already had your pip at me on the other post so were even ;) 2) My first comments were my opinion hence I put IMHO and not FACT, I am entitled to think any other car I so wish is shit or good, only recently you would have seen the post where I praised certain aspects of the GTO over the Z, so hence I am not a one way narrow minded person when it comes to cars! and only support the Z! 3) All of the people on the mr2 account were out to wind up, and childish as it was for them to post rubbish on another forum where they know they would get a reaction, perhaps I should not have posted back, but I have a right to I am subscribed here and they are not. In question to winding up other forums, nope, never done it, dont see the point. A forum of a certain vehicle is there for like minded individuals with a passion for a vehicle to relate, chat and share their interest, not for fights and slag matches. 4) I flew off on one when someone insulted me personally, but it was inevitable with all the tension in the thread. 5) I was going to leave the forum, but then in hindsight, it would only make the idiots who started this have more to be proud of, getting someone to leave the club. They are probably celebrating already, and after chatting with several people, its clear that its perhaps the wrong thing to do! 6) I guess we are all in the right place (most of us) as we seem to have displayed that we are certainly pasionate about our motors!!! Thats it, Happy posting to all you fellow Z'ers
  15. Dont call me a c0ck you f ucking prick, no need to get personal. Get a life you hairy fukin tw at. I should smack your fu cking head in for that comment you pr1ck. 16. The Toyota MR2 is a mid-engined, 2 seater Hairdressing Car manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan. There are several opinions on the origin of the name "MR2". I haven't listed all the variations, but here are some of the most popular interpretations of the name: "Mid engined, Rearpassagebandit, 2 seater" "Midshit Runabout 2-seater" "Mid engined, Rear passage, 2 seater" "Midshit-engine, Rear-entrance bandit, 2 seater" "Midshit Ricer 2 seater" There are three different generations of MR2 commonly known as: The Mark I (MkI or first generation 'the cheese wedge') produced from 1985 to 1989 The MkI production line includes the following engine types: Normally aspirated under powered version produced from 1985-1989 Supercharged (with a unique hairdryer unit) version produced from 1986-1989 (1988-1989 in North America) at which time they stopped because it couldn't keep up with anything bigger than a 1.2. The Mark II (MkII or second generation 'project Ring Bandit') produced from 1990 to 1995 (for North America, produced until 1999 when they realised it was shit in Japan and other countries and so stoped producing it) The MkII production line includes the following engine types: Normally aspirated underpowered version produced from 1990-1995 Super Hairdryer Turbocharged version produced from 1990-1995 (otherwise known as project 'stillcrap' & 'overhyped pub talk')(as patented by mr2) The Mark III (MkIII or third homoration) produced from 2000 and still in production. This is the first convertible model of the MR2 and is known as the MR2 Spyder. The MkIII production line is worse than the over rated turbo hairdryer model and so isnt worth mentioning in this review.
  17. lol funny, that gives me a complete tarred image of MR2 owners then cause it means you all speak like tossers and im still getting on all your nerves by the responses mwuhahahaha
  18. You really are a commedian keep it up :D
  19. Nah its funny mate, he's trying to wind us up and yet hes the one thats steaming lol. Oh and the thing about using Nitrous with TC, have you got any clue? why would I even trigger nitrous whilst I was already having traction problems, clearly you driving skill round the twisties must be massive if you dont even know how and when to use power lol. Have you ever driven a car with nitrous? do you even know much about nitrous? it just so happens that a very good friend of mine owns his own business fitting and making the systems (engineering mounting brackets for the microswitches on the throttle body etc), which is who the kit comes from. And shock horror, he also has nos on his Z, but then, someone like you clearly knows more than me or him lmfao.
  20. prove it I no-where mentioned I have raced on the 1/4 mile? I said the 300zx in general is quicker, i've seen both cars run. hmmm then you say.... and then....... You said it I claim as in I havn't then you want me to prove it, then you say you meant just the 1/4 mile time? you dont even know what you said a minute ago lol. That obviously because you spend so much time practicing this yourself, as i'd never heard of 'pub talk' you seem well versed in it lmao. And you still havnt proved you even own a car, as said before judging by your mentality your not old enough to drive. And by the way I love the way your biting its great, I can tell by the attitude and insults that i'm getting under your skin ;) I love it lol, go on get a little more wound up, nice to know im getting to you.
  21. lol he's taking his time, probably photoshopping someone elses slips as we speak!!!!
