Getting her back on the road. MOT fail.
Ok, just went to check as that would probably keep me up at night. The water runs down nicely. you can hear it flowing down the pipe. and it exits in its slot. The rust is only on the inside of the wheel arch. there is no evidence of damage forward of the arch and the pipe outlet is a little way further further forward, but if there is something else I check? cheers

Getting her back on the road. MOT fail.
Hi Andrew, Thanks for this info. Although now I am worried about the extent of the rust as it appears to only be in the area I photo'd not along the entire sill. Is it possible to easily check if the Targa drain is blocked?

Getting her back on the road. MOT fail.
Ok, Some of you have been enormously helpful with resolving the misfire of my car. Thank you! and shout out to Jim @PowerZed who supplied an ECU next day. Next problem is after having the car dry stored for a few years then had the MOT done. Took it to a different place where it failed. the car had done almost no miles since the previous. Below is the fail points. Ignore the light bulbs, fog light, tyres and number plate.... I wanted some advice. feel free to chime in with any feedback. I want to get the car back on the road cheaply for now as I am out of work due covid and sold our other cars. The main question I need to know is can I do this work myself? I'm fairly practical and I do have time but I don't have a workshop of tools. Here is the link to my google drive folder with the pics, I hope thats ok? https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1zqaxZ7-U6l5d2ZKMdaC26CbGQXyZ54tN?usp=sharing Thanks. Fran

Urgently need fuel injector. Bournemouth area
Hi Dazzler, the compression was good thanks. 4 @ 150 and the remaking 2 were reading 160 & 165 psi. unfortunately being laid off I stopped more spending. However I would like to get it sorted now. I want to just get hold of a couple of the old style ones for now so I can get the car running. If all is good then I’m certainly getting the new style ones all fitted. Just don’t want to take it all apart then find out it was something else too. I did get hold of 2 from a breaker they both ohm’d ok so I fitted one but no good, so did the other, the same. Had them checked at the garage that has a test bed and they were not working correctly. So I’m keen to get one or two that’s verified working. Or a full set that I can have tested and choose the good before fitting. It’s cylinder No1 (front left looking at the car from the front) so I have avoided taking the plenum off so far.

Urgently need fuel injector. Bournemouth area
Hi Guys, thank you both for the advice. I am having the compression checked on Saturday. If that’s ok then i will upgrade the injectors as this is the 3rd time in 10 years of owning that I have had trouble with them. Previous times they were overhauled.

Hi Guys, I’m hoping someone in the community might be able to help. I urgently need to buy a working fuel injector for my 300zx TT it’s a 1993 import with the early injectors. I had a spare set and they have all gone bad. Would like to collect or pay special delivery. please contact me +447500060635. thanks, Fran

Help needed bottoming shakey steering under braking.
Thanks Gaz, I wish it where that simple. But each time have put new disks on the wobble continues, its only when the new disks are skimmed on the car that it goes away (temporarily).

Help needed bottoming shakey steering under braking.
Hello. I am new to this forum and would like to ask for a bit of advice. I see this is a very old thread however my problem sounds fairly similar to this. My car has got bigger front brakes than standard, a previous owner has had a large set of skyline calipers fitted and it has been that way for over 10 years. I have had the wobble now for a few years and its the 3rd set of disks we are on now (they have been changed to rectify the problem). I have not done extensive problem solving myself yet but I plan to now. The one time the problem was eliminated was when i had the disks skimmed on a machine whilst on the car. This fixed it for a few thousand miles. Unfortunatly its back and worse than ever, worst when under heavy braking, hot and high speed. has anyone had a similar issue? Thanks, Fran
