1993 UK Manual Twin Turbo
Chaps/Ladies Thinking about selling my 300ZX as I fancy a change. The car was previously owned by Phil on here and I purchased it off him in June 2017. I have spent a significant amount on the car since owning and including the following: Both rear inner and outer sill replaced in September 2018 (parts from Z Centre), both rear quarters and doors painted Toad alarm fitted Cloth interior replaced with a full leather trim OEM mudflaps fitted Excellent condition for age. Rare unmolested example, with subtle 'OEMesk' mods (Genuine Nissan '99 spec' front bumper and rear lights, replica '99 spec' rear spoiler, polished OEM alloy wheels, Mongoose quad exit cat back exhaust - OEM look, but stainless and produces a nice deep purr - not too loud, HID headlights, with colour matching LED side lights, 'de-oranged' indicator lenses). Removable 'Targa' roof panels, complete with original blinds and storage bags. Original 3 keys (titanium - main, black - spare, red - valet). Removable tow bar fitted (only ever been used to tow a very small trailer). Non-smoking owner. MOTed till Sept'19. Full service history covering my ownership and Phil's previous 8 1/2 years I have owned the car, partial history prior to that. The car was written off in 2011 (category D) due to damage caused by both a front and rear shunt The car was bought back from the insurers, the damage all fully repaired by Zedworld and the car put back on the road. I had to change the clocks as the speedo stopped working therefore the MOT history shows a mileage discrepancy in Sept 2017 as I didn't get around to put the original mileage odometer in, I have now replaced the odometer with the original and the clocks show circa 134k - I would say the car has done circa 135k. It's a excellent example and drives excellent with no untoward noises etc, I am not yet advertising the car on fleabay etc as I am not 100% certain I want to sell. I was after a UK manual TT and from experience I know that they don't 'pop' up for sale often. For more information please do not hesitate to contact me. Private plate included in sale.

Gearbox oil suggestion
Hi I am looking at changing the gearbox oil on my 1993 300ZX TT Manual, any suggestions on what oil to buy? are the drain and fill plugs individual? is it easy enough to replace at home on axle stands? TIA Adam

Thanks The Capri is part of my fathers collection, we live next door to each other so quite ok with parking.

New owner
Oh and was thinking of getting rid of it and replace it with a 350Z, however decided against it and will be keeping it for a while yet

Few small updates, mudflaps fitted and shortened number plate, also had to get the rear sills repaired for the last MOT, ended up buying both outer sill covers and inner sills from zcentre at cost of nearly £500. Then had to get the bodywork sorted again, painting etc

Selling a car abroad
Would that not be if the current owner was exporting the car to another country

Selling a car abroad
After a bit of advice regarding selling a car abroad, I have a potential buyer from France coming next week to view and potentially buy one of my cars. If he does buy any idea what part of the V5 (log book) I need to fill in? I have never sold a car abroad and normally do it all online but I would imagine in this case I wouldn’t be able to do it online. I have told the potential buyer to bring sterling so I can deposit the money into my bank prior to releasing the car. Any advice appreciated Thanks

Heated rear window not working
Guys Think I have found why my heated rear window is not working, the wire was behind the plastic surround, however I am unable to reconnect it as the clip on the window has broken, any suggestions to what can be done? Thanks

Digital Time Clock

Digital Time Clock
Both of mine are the ones in the first twinturbo link, even after repairs on both they do still come on occasionally

Digital Time Clock
Picking this thread up, I have repaired 2 clocks as per the links quoted above, however they have only worked for a short while before going on and off again intermittently. Is the clock one of those ZX ‘common problem’ that I will have to live with?

350Z ownership
Thanks for the detailed reply Richard Interesting comments and yes I would also go with the 300 being more unique, my m5 isn’t my daily as I have a Zafira for that, in fact the 300 probably gets used more than the m5 and I was purely looking at replacing it for its younger sibling. I wouldn’t want to replace it with another German, British etc as I do like to own a one jap as well and the 350 is similar in price so technically I wouldn’t be parting with much £££ if any. However I think your comments have made my mind up and I will keep the 300 as opposed to replacing it with the 350 Thanks

350Z ownership
- 350Z ownership
Guys I currently own a 1993 TT manual 300ZX and was looking at replacing it with a 350Z, however I’ve never owned one and was hoping someone on here has and could give me a good opinion on the 350Z, I still find my 300 adequate to drive and own and i also own an M5 but was purely looking to change the ZX. Please advise Thanks Adam- Milage adjustment
Gaz Was this easy enough to do? I need to swap the mileage counter on my old clocks to the new ones Thanks- Side light issue
Finally managed to have a look at this yesterday - the wires going up to the green box in the inner wing are all ok and plug is fine so I can rule this out. Any other suggestions chaps on what to look for or where the problem may be? Thanks- TT manual reverse light switch
Thanks Jeff Will give it a shot on Sunday- TT manual reverse light switch
Yeah got the right one as I tried the new switch plug into the plug of the one that was plugged in and it worked with the new switch plugged in Can’t have got the wrong one as there was 3 different types of plugs around that area- TT manual reverse light switch
Chaps/ladies Ever since I’ve bought my car the reverse lights have never worked - bulbs all ok as is fuse etc Bought a reverse light switch last week and went to do it tonight As the old saying goes what a pig of a job. I’ve been on it 3 hours and still haven’t been able to do it. It’s definitely a faulty switch as I plugged the new one in and the lights work I can just about get a 19mm ring spanner on but there’s no way I can turn it whilst the car is on axle stands The switch is in such a bad position and every time I apply force the spanner slips Is there an easier way or tool to remove the switch? Or does the box need to be dropped Any help and advice appreciated Thanks Adam - 350Z ownership
