Tinted rear lights
Sorry bud, but I think that looks gash, lol. I hate being honest sometimes :x: I did that on my Audi 80 about 15 years ago and I thought it looks the muts nuts, but my taste has changed I guess. As long as you're happy with it, just ignore people like me ;)

interest / how much would you pay for...
The only problem I can foresee, is if you have a smarty pants alarm, which could go off if it detects the light being on. That could mean you need to hang about your car before you set it, or if the alarm is self arming it could go off before the light goes out. Never really seen the point of the delay. If you're out the car, why leave the light on, is the car afraid of the dark and needs ten seconds with the light on to get to sleep? :D

Traders contact slow or not at all!
Sometimes we need to post on a public traders forum, to give them a shove, and maybe respond to phone calls and emails ;)

i cant even think of a title for this pic
I reckon.... The male "viewer", perhaps imagines: A: He will come to the fair maiden's rescue, free her car from it's slippery trap, and in her endless gratitude, take him home for a night of passion.... or: B: See that she's stuffed with no-one about and take full advantage of the situation, the dirty swine.

Ten of the best no 300zx????
The black one belongs to my mate Daz. Just fitted some nice black/chrome Ultralites to it. I was being a traitor for the day, and was pitting for the red RX-7, lol. I'm not going to start moaning about the lack of Zeds, as I never even brought mine, but it would be great to have a team together for next year. Even just to be part of the team pit crew makes the event so much better, as you feel more envolved, and have a better idea of what's happening. Daz and I, and possibly Paul, will be competing at Rotorstock next year. Not expecting to win anything, but would be nice to get some respectable times up there, and start improving the general perception of our cars. As for the Supercar debate, I think the point was made......"Super Expensive", so, thankfully, I guess not then, lol, but who cares.

Value of my Zed?
Unfortunately you could have the best car in the world, but without photographic proof, no-one will care :( Although most folk would want all the mods you have done, they could be put off if the car looks shabby, hence reducing the value. Today's market is strange. Your car seems to be worth what folk are willing to pay, rather than any sort of market value, so it's in your favour to get the car looking as good as possible, before you even mention what goodies it has done to it. Sad but true I'm afraid.

Engine swap advice
Excellent, thanks guys. I'll just swap the whole engine and tubs as is. My plan is to slowly mod the other engine, depending on what damage I've done, but hey, that's a whole other thread, lol.

Engine swap advice
Hi folks. I'm about to do an engine swap on my TT. The doner engine is from an auto, my car is a manual. Can I transfer the engine and turbo's complete, or should I use my own turbo's and ancilliaries? I know there's some differences between the manual engine and auto engine, but not sure exactly what. Any other related advice would be greatly appreciated for this job. Dave.

Rear lights conversion
Thanks. I went to B&Q, but they didn't have any material, so... Don't tell anyone, but I used to have a work unit, which had florescent lighting with the diffuser stuff I required. The unit was closed over a year ago due to irrepairable water damage, but I had a feeling they never bothered to lock it down, lol. Yeah, I basically burgled the place for a sheet of plastic, lol. Angle grinder is definately the best tool for the job. D.

Of cr@p, was I meant to do the red bit as well? Thanks for your comments, makes it all worthwhile. D.

Rear lights conversion
Decided to get off my backside and get the rear lights done. Kind of messy with all that nasty tar stuff, but not too much of hassle really. Got the basics from here: http://www.aus300zx.com/tech/taillight/taillight.htm So big thanks to that dude. And here's the results... (As it was first) And no, I won't do yours :nono:

I was only meant to change the Bulbs
Darn it, I replied to this post but it dissapeared :( Oh well, here goes again... Maybe it was the primer you used, I didn't bother with any. Also, I put the assembly back in the oven to heat up the sealant, so hopefully the paint was baked on properly. I'll let you all know if it starts doing nasty things.

I was only meant to change the Bulbs
Yeah, that's the stuff. Not exactly chrome, but pretty close, and goes on very nicely. Even if you get the odd bit off fluff, you'll never see it once the glass is on.

I was only meant to change the Bulbs
What started as a simple bulb change, turned into a 10 hour project. Everything was going fine, till I dropped the headlight bulb down behind the headlight. Despite half an hour of poking and grabbing, I had to decide if I was going to remove the headlight to gain access, or just buy another bulb. I decided to just whip of the headlight, lol, yeah right  After much head scratching, I decided I'd better consult the forum. Kept seeing words like "inner arch removal" and contorsionist", so went back outside hoping my fingers had become thinner, longer and more flexible  No chance, it was time to get serious  Followed the guides to get the headlight out (thanks for everyone's posts on that), and finally managed to grab that elusive bulb. At this point I should have just put the thing back in, but holding that headlight in my hands I had that thought, you know the one..... "While I have this out, I wonder if I should maybe do that chrome conversion thing they all talk about"   After all, it was highly unlikely I would ever have the thing out again through choice. I would of course need to take the other headlight out, but I knew what I was doing by now. So, heated up the oven, ready to make some baked Zedlight pie  I had some of that "chrome" paint from B&Q, so thought I'd give it a go. Oven trick worked a treat, lenses came away from the plastic no trouble. Painted the grey in-lays, re-assembled, and voila! Here you go. Unfortunately it was dark by the time I was finished, lol, but I'll get some daytime pics in the morning. Hope you like...
