Track day at Sepang Circuit Malaysia
Thought I`d share some pics of a track day I went to a few days back with my brother in-law. It was at Sepang circuit in Malaysia where they hold the F1. First time at a Malaysian track day and pretty much similar in rules to UK track days. Some very nice machinery at the track day both on and off. Here in Malaysia the national Proton car is very popular and my bro-in law as a Proton Wira which is essentially a rebadged Mitsi Lancer. Except his has an EVO 4 engine and loads of go faster bits. Was running on semi-slick tyres and was rapid.... Managed to get past a lot of expensive machinery.... Also very popular are Hondas...was impressed with the Civic Type R 4 door...the handling on this thing was incredible. Dont think my zed would have lasted 1 lap in the 38 degree heat...plus it was in the garage getting sorted again..:(

Tein Super Streets
Veering towards these as looking for adjustable suspension for the odd track day. Legarth, from the literature it says the kit is height and damper adjustable. "Includes both ride height and damping force adjustment to allow the driver to dial in the suspension for various surface conditions." Was also thinking about the EDFC, which I know would allow for incar damping adjustment but dont think it will alter height. Quite handy for me as the roads over here in Malaysia vary a great deal.

Tein Super Streets
Need to upgrade most of the suspension bits on the zed. Thinking about the Tein Super Streets, which are height and damper adjustable. Anybody have these fitted and how are they? Did a search but most folk seem to have the Tein Flex`s which seem to be v good but quite stiff. ta

Sad Loss of a True Z Enthusiast
Very, very sad news...I had met Colin on a few occasions over the years and he had always came across as a pleasant, well mannered guy. A true Z nut aswell and had given me some good advice about the zed over the years. My thoughts and prayers are with Leslie and Colin`s family at this difficult time...

Leather retrim from Malaysia
Thanks for the comments guys. Andy, initially wasnt sure about going all cream, thought about two tone first of all but saw a car in the workshop in the full cream leather and decided it looked good. Jaffa, wasnt too much of a hassle but I emigrated to Malaysia under a specialist programme with the wife(who is originally Malaysian). It allowed us to take two cars tax free. Normally exported cars are subjected to 200% tax plus other costs. Took over my C Class merc also. Cars are really expensive in Malaysia.

Leather retrim from Malaysia
Having emigrated to Malaysia in April and taken my zed over, decided to get the interior done. The old black leather was beginning to show its age so took it to an interior retrimmer. Seemed to be a good outfit with samples of their work at the premises. All in the job took 3 days. They retrimmed the seats and panels in italian cream leather with black stitching. I`m very impressed with the results and the cost was about £480. Similar job would cost 2-3 times that in the UK.

Right, looking to get a rear bumper for my zed. Seen quite a few and really like the kaminari rear valance but think I might have issues trying to source it. Other one I quite like is the stillen GTZ rear valance. Does anyone have pics of the stillen one. Think someone on the site has them fitted. cheers ronnie
