Opinions Please?
Hello all, Quick gauge of people in the know, if I could - Clutch pedal was wrongly adjusted by garage, and through driving normally (ie cruising round town, not too fast) and not quite being able to tell what was wrong with the car exactly, I was driving with it for 2 weeks - broken! burning out the clutch. How much would this of damaged my clutch??? as they think I might now need a new one! and could the garage be liable? Thanks

Clutch Issue again...
Hello, I did recieve some very useful help on this last week, but it appears my garage has changed mechanics from the one who used to do all my work and the new one is nowhere near as good! Basically the clutch pedal went and they mended it, but didnt adjust the pedal properly so once i worked out what was wrong (via the site & its helpful fellows) i took it back and they mended it again using notes off this site as guidelines, (for free). I have now got it back and the problem still seems to be there but in the higher gears only. Now this could be due to the more powerful accerlaration in the lower gears making it harder to tell, but the higher gears seem to be slipping as before. The garage said they tested it twice (to check for loss of pressure) but may not have been able to realise that the higher gears where still slipping. Before I go in and have it out with them - as i imagine this has ruined my clutch quite a lot now!, would somebody be able to let me know if I am indeed in the right area? Thanks (again....)

Accelaration problem
That might be a better way to put it - when putting my foot down the revs go up but the car doesnt pull away. The wheels arent actually spinning - i phrased that badly. It sounds more like the "clutch slip". Thanks

Accelaration problem
Hi I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced problems when accelarating. My clutch peddle went last week, and i got it replaced & i dont know if its coincedence or not but now when i accelarate it feels like the power isnt going down properly as if the car is wheelspinning, or the clutch was still depressed? Could it be that they tweaked something on the clutch when changing it or is it related to something else? As always any advice would be brilliant as it usually saves alot of money when mending it :-) Thanks

Loose Door,
Hello, just wondering if anyone could help. I got a problem with the bottom of my door coming loose which is making it hard to pull shut when getting in. The car has had lambo door hinges on it for a while and whilst i have enderverd to maintain these the doors are not suited for them in the long term, which is where i think this problem has arisen from. I have had a look to see if i can spot a simple method of tightening it back to the door but cant seem to locate where/how this can be done, as the bits i can see seem to already be tight. I would be grateful if anyone has any ideas, as if / when i have to change the doors back to normal hinges i would like to have this problem resolved.

Interior/dash
Yeah well thats what I thought, im not too keen on just covering it all over, I hadnt considered spraying it. The carbon Fibre sounds like could be a nice touch but would that involve a lot of $?

Dripping in footwells - A/C?
Hi, I have been looking through the old threads and i have found a similiar query to this except for a couple of bits which makes me think it might be something else. The A/C has never worked well in the 3 years i have had the car, but recently it has started to leak into the footwells and when the tempreture is turned up smoke appears in the car. It does however stop again when turned down but there does seem to be a constant leaking into both footwells. If anyone could provide some assistence as to any causes for this or what work i might need doing and its likely cost, i would be grateful. Cheers

Rev/speed Limiter?
I had a converter put in so it reads MPH, does this mean the problem is likely to just be the speed limmiter? If so do i just need to get it remapped or taken off? I would say im not going anywhere near 112mph more like 80 - 90 ish (on the private road I use) will have to take it out and check.

Rev/speed Limiter?
Hi, i have been searching through previous posts but couldnt see a full answer for this (although I apologies if this is because of my ignorance). I seem to be hitting a "wall" when accelarting through the gears. I am still getting used to the car's full capabilities and have taken my time in easing it in (since having a recoditioned engine put in). I have done all the recommended mileage about 4000 miles of it with the upmost care and have spent another thousand opening it up slowly. 1 for the fear of damaging it and 2 for the fact that it has an awful lot of power anyway. But now I am trying to gauge it's full capabilities it stops at 3rd gear - 6200rpm and 4th 5500rpm. In second I have only gone upto about 7000rpm, and obviously 5th is a bit hard to examine. (The car is a 1990, manual, Non turbo) I have read previous bits on speed limiters but they dont seem to link in. Is this just a case of getting it Dyno'd and having the engine remapped out??? If so does anyone have any recommandations of somewhere in the region of Brighton where I could get this done, as not being able to drop down gears is proving very frustrating! :headvswal Your help is appreicated
