  10. oh my fooooking gawd here we go again :headvswal, more ££££££ really hope the oil change and clean out works and checking the ecu socket for overtightning :o top gear works fine just if you keep your foot planted it will hit the rev limiter at 125mph and not change up but otherwise will work great
  11. use a good bonding, i have bonded mine on and blended it in to the bodywork looks awsome
  12. mr mac :headvswal its allright this is the old engine i was playing bout with my new engine is running along really great getting its oil change tommorow 3rd one in 2 thousand miles, yes im being very cautious
  13. right then finnaly got round to stripping down my old tt engine to find out why it was burning oil!! engine was removed cause the main bearings had gone and they had spun round :o so took the heads off 2nite and all i could find was that the oil controll rings on the pistons were seized i:e not moving freeley!! so what could cause this to happen then?? what can i do with my bearings if they have spun does the block need regrinding to take new oversize bearings and also the crank as well??
  14. how bout a vid like getaway in stocholm that would be awsome LOL!!
  15. sorry to hear bud, get that cctv up there asap
  16. could be worse bud you could be me im on my 3rd engine and 3rd set of tubs how sick do i feel when i think of all that £££££ i spent but one look at her with that awsome bodykit and she is deffinetly worth every penny!!! have you done a ecu diagnostic very easey to do bud!! worth a try.
  17. yeah think that was my mistake fitting the alc but will try a good oil change and take the sump off and cleaning the filter!! lets hope mega £££££ is not involved, thanks ryan yeah im really bad at tightneing stuff up im not happy till the spanner is pinging its so tight, the ecu plug looks very tight to me so i will try to loosen it off and refit this time with 3 clicks of the elbow LOL!!
  18. yeah lets hope so :hyper: :hyper: right then so next step is to change the oil take the sump off give it a good clean then try the autobox diagnostic ;) then its high ho up the open road and see if it changes up after 125mph :hyper:
  19. well well it never rains but it pours LOL!! :mac1: so after shelling out 5k for a new engine and tubs the car is awsome, so i fitted a hks alc everything was fine at lower speeds but trying it out at over 100mph funny things happend :o floored it at over 100mph and all that happend was the revs went sky high but no more speeds!!! do autoboxes slip???? so on the way home i thought right then lets try again this time got up to 125mph and was bouncing off the red line waiting to change up nope nothing shit :headvswal so off came the alc tried again this evening 125mph again no slip but again bouncing off the redline and on the rev limiter not good for my new engine :headvswal but driving normal no probs at all changes up and down ok great, i have never cleaned the autobox but not sure if the mechanic who swapped engines would have change the auto oil!! should i try this first take the autobox sump off and give it a good cleanning or is the autobox on the way out   any help very much appreceated.
  20. doh!! your right xk8 i meant it was qutie new anyway LOL!!
  21. how awsome left a jaguar xkr this morning struggling to keep up went over 125mph had a massive grin on my face when i turned off and saw him pass by  zeds rule
  22. reading a previous post about how wear and tear can increase in the autobox by using the alc, i do find with mine just fitted that the gearchanges are a bit violent :smash: dont get me wrong i love it when my foot is mashed to the floor and it flyes through the autobox i love it  but maybe a tad too extreme for everyday driving :x: so my question is this!! is it possible to switch the unit off somehow with a switch wired in somewhere, i know there are loads of wires in the loom but if im not mistaken only 4 go into the alc unit, im sure this can be done any comments fellas
