  1. I love the lines of the car as it is... BUT a wide body kit done the right way is nice to
  2. ^^^Better late than never...:devil2: Look good, Did you do LEDs in the climate/control pods too?
  3. Ordered the black series rings and titanium key from Z1...
  4. Superb painting..! My lil daughter is an excellent artist and I'm showing her your work as a motivation to get better. Great work!!!!!!
  5. Yes... Are yours chrome or brushed aluminum? Did you put a dab of super glue on yours? also did you change the bulbs to LEDS since you had the cluster out?
  6. Hey I'm ordering the cluster ring tomorrow and wanted your opinion on which ones to order! My interior is the black/smoke leather with suede interior. I have the black/grey carbon fiber Hydrodip accessories (radio bezel, dome light, vents, door handle). Should I stick with the polished aluminum, chrome or black gauge rings? I'm ordering these along with a replica titanium key. And replacing the stock cluster lights with LEDs (I have all other interior and lights converted to LED already)... Any input on lights would help too.. Thanks Ikon
  7. It's like an insulation type fiber under 10 ounces. I'll email them to get an accurate number.
  8. I offered seller to buy the used one for $100 shipped if I have to get it rebalanced anyway. Z1 offer used ones at $140 and the say to rebalance...
  9. Now I sense that it's the right move.... So fellows which shaft do you have a steel, aluminum, platinum or carbon fiber driveshaft? Reading a ton of threads that say the aluminum one will make noise that's noticeable vs the steel unit. Also one company fills (optional) the aluminum shaft with some type of insulation so it will not make noise. And carbon will splinter... Is the platinum one merely for look vs the aluminum?
  10. If you're not experiencing any issues with the factory 2pc driveshaft should I still replace it? Or would you wait?
  11. I heard of that too, but one company fill the aluminum driveshafts with some type of filler! I'm not sure if it works or not.. Anyone had this done?
  12. Update: the eBay headers arrived and they actually look good... I'm taking it to the shop Monday or Tuesday to get the actual thickness of the material tested from my exhaust shop. I did the leak test and both passed with each one having good looking welds. I may let my shop advise me on the best set (I will not tell them the cheaper set until they tell me their opinion) to install.
  13. Here's an opportunity on a one piece driveshaft on a NA 2+2. It's a Z1 steel unit that I saw on eBay. I may pull the trigger on it to have for the future. my car drives smooth without any driveshaft issues right now. Lol it may help with throttle response and maintenance... Any problem with buying a used driveshaft? If anyone is interested here's the link: http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=162013454241 On one piece shafts are they worth the monies? Any pro and cons?
  14. When did you have your kid..? It was a lot of booming for sure! so a baby shouldn't be a surprise right?! Lol
  15. Thanks guys!!! I have 3 girls now and a son... I'm getting toooooo old for this! Older son and a 11 & 8 year old girls now a new born! Haha I'm heading to my doctor in 3 weeks for a permanent fix. On the plus side I have a 2+2 and there's enough room for the girls..!
  16. That's right!!! On Monday my lil angel was born..! So beautiful and angelic..! I can't wait for her to have a ride with her sisters on a beautiful afternoon with the tops out Just having big fun enjoying the z. I know I know.... I'm just proud, so let me make it
  17. Ultimately it's your choice but the closer you get to stock is better imo... Just enhance what's already there
  18. Update: Installed the HKS ALC and it's certainly worth the few pennies I spent! The car shifts very quick and precise in the upper rpm range without being to harsh. In my normal driving situation it was fine as if it wasn't there. I only tested it about an hour but it was fine. It should make those spirited sprints on a windy road or quick pass a lil bit nicer! I recommend the ALC at this point and we'll see if I feel this way in 6 months if I need a tranny...
