Is that because the torque converters don't put out the full grunt?

I'm guessing you/they never changed the switch to the power mode then, so it probably changed gear too early.

That graph tops out at 6k rpm. Did it change gear then as the graph should peak and then go down slightly to get a Max HP. Was the gearbox in the power mode which holds the revs longer before changing?

Me too, DVLA website says the REG is invalid (at least its not registered to a nissan). If you are expecting to drive it home then i would be concerened, but if not as long as you have proof of ownership the DVLA will assign you a new reg and log book for £25. Looks quite badly sun damaged, hope you are not overpaying for it
