id make sure the car you buy has good service history with documented proof of a 60k service (plugs, cam belt, water pump,fuel/air filters etc due) or budget for one in your purchase. having someone look over it who knows about zeds could save you £££'s in the long term. i put in £30 at a time in my car, a combination of cruising to & from work with the odd blast or 2 gives me an average of abouy 140 miles or so. driving harder or lots of round town driving will drop this to nearer 100 miles or so. on a long run a full tank (about £55 ish) will do me upto 300miles dependant on cruising speeds but then i think of it as fun per gallon as opposed to miles per gallon :D
