it's hard to say with out pics. If they are deep scratches id suggest getting atouch up stick and covering up the scratch. then break out some 2500 wet and dry and lightly sand the area if your confident enough, follow this by a t cut and polish and it can look no different to the rest of the pannel

so your the back up when the police number plate cameras go down is it lol :p

that is super smooth; iv'e seen a lot of them mounted under the dash on the panel between the steering wheel and pedals

try joining an amateur photography forum and see if they will give you any advice as they will probally be more likley to be able to help you

try taking it to your local camera shop and see if they have any suggestions or if they can have a look for you
