Alternator Belt replacement
Right, my alternator belt came off a few weeks ago. Im working from above the engine as at the moment it doesn't start and its quite hard to roll it onto blocks. Ive just managed to loosen the PS belt and walk it off the pulley. Ive slipped the Alternator belt over the fan and PS belt and it fits very easily over the alternator and water pump. I was expecting it to not go over as I haven't loosened anything on the alternator :confused1: Where are the bolts for tightening the alternator?? ill probably find this out in a min after more searching but im just worried that something's broken as its just slipped straight over and its loose. Does that sound possible or do you think I can just tighten it back up again? Thanks for any replies.

Has the Z32 300zx come of age?
Don't worry, im making a come back this year . I miss the old scene, from the 90's 00's, where people had differing tastes apart from Scooby owners. It was good to see peoples imagination and different tastes like karls rag rolled above, one of the reasons I got a 300!. Now, its just lower it and put some nice wheels on, car shows nowadays are just like walking round a normal carpark, you could almost put one car on a show stand and just tell people to imagine it in different colours. I think its changed because of insurance, people cant afford to add bits that stand out as they would have to declare it on their insurance. Lad was buyig my 1.4 lupo for £300, insurance £4000 for a year???? You cant afford to do anything these days especially with the price of fuel too.

Coilovers
Can someone tell me a bit about coil overs for the 300zx? Ive only looked at the ones on zcentre, seen plenty on ebay but I don't trust ebay with car parts unless someone recommends them. I just want my car to be lower. . . . . . . . . and have good handling. Has anyone got a set for sale? Thanks.

Coilover rebuild?
For my 2nd car I have an import Honda SMX. Finding parts for it is incredibly hard (in the uk). Ive found some coilovers on another smx which is being stripped for parts, the cars working etc but it does look a little worn out. What I want to know is, if the coilovers are crap, can I get them rebuilt? (if so, anyone know where and a rough price) If they cant be rebuilt, whats the usual lifespan of a coilover? They are Tanabe Sucstec Pro Coilovers. They are £200 Thanks

Leather Seats
Anyone know where I can get some leather seats made? Looked on Zcentre but doesn't seem to do them anymore. Looking at just getting the front seats redone. Also, for those in the know, im not a paid up member, can I put a 'have you got certain parts just lying around or going really cheap' post. It would include asking for items like, tailgate, rear demon bumper, engine bling, bonnet. Or do I have to pay up and put it in the parts for sale under 'WANTED'.

Is this the thin end of the Wedge?
Its very daft in my opinion. It'll just move onto somewhere else, like it has been doing for the past 10 years. We used to 'cruise' round notts city centre - loads of police - moved onto Mansfield centre = council spent £1000's putting speed bumps in place, which was funny as they were so high the busses got grounded on them, so then they spent £1000's replacing them - moved onto j27 on the m1= 2 roundabouts with a dual carriageway inbetween, used to be over 300 cars every sunday plus about 3 police vans loads of police and the helicopter, put an injunction in place for a year and spent £1000's on cameras. Moved onto Netherpod, a strip of road in an industrial estate in netherfield. Which then moved to the road next to it, again 2 roundabouts with dual carriageway in between, drifting began. Council spent £112000 making the dual into a single carriageway. Now its all just on the main roads or parked up in retail parks as they have massive parking areas. They tried a track day event at donnington park although no one has insurance for race tracks so that died out. And all along, all they needed was a cop car sat in the same place, if there was a copper there, there was no racing just sitting, talking and listening to music.

Could do with a pic of boot stripped out
For the past 6 years ive wanted to change the boot install in my car, hopefully next year ill do it. Has anyone got any pics of a 2+2 stripped out in the back? I mainly just want to see whats under the plastic covers which cover the rear suspension so i can get some idea of what i can do and how much room there is to play with. Thanks if anyone posts any,
