Time for the Z to experience it's first major problem...... Yesterday it lost the ability to actually move. revs fine but no power, so the chap I bought it from came to have a look at it today and he's gonna get it fixed next week. Torque convertor or something. so until I get it back I'm driving a *shudder*...Renault Megane Scenic :o .........

today I can't sign on to MSN, it keeps sying that my firewall may be preventing me from doing so. I've checked the settings and turned the firewall off but the same thing happens......any ideas? also it gives the error code 80048820, but I can't find the code listed anywhere.

Exactly, I was lucky that the first one I saw happened to belong to a guy who was in the trade and deals with a lot of imported cars. This one was actually his own car and he sold it cuz he was getting hold of something new, a 350z iirc. I got hold of a totally standard, unabused example an haven't looked back.

all I can say is GET ONE GET ONE GET ONE!!!...... My Z is without a doubt the best car I've ever owned :bow: (and Ive owned a few, the Z is my 13th eek!) I'm 23 with 2 yrs NCB and insurance isn't too bad (but then again I live in the middle of nowhere where the only crime is badger related). I've had the pleasure to have driven (not owned) a few nice cars in the past and can honestly say that the Z NEVER fails to put a smile on my face. Even when pootling around town just the rumble of that V6 makes me grin. An awesome car, IF you can afford the fuel bill. Mind you, mines an N/A so it's a lil bit cheaper than a TT to fuel. Enough of me talking, JUST GET ONE! :hyper:

must be something to do with PTU then, cuz I took the keys out of the ignition to lock the car when I went in to pay.

does anyone on here recognise the area code 01142 ......? got a missed call on my phone and it's constantly engaged. Trying to work out where it's from cuz it's not one that's local to me, and the BT website doesn't recognise it.

right, drove the Z to the garage today to fill up. Got there no probs whatsoever. FIlled up, paid, got back in the car. Started up and touched the loud pedal SOOO gently to pull away and the car died!....wouldn't do anything at all, couldn't start it for about 30 secs. In the end the only thing that worked was to stick it in park, remove the keys and try again. This worked. slightly worrying.

I only paid for the Z this morning and haven't picked it up yet, but already the mod bug has bitten. Although the interior itself is pretty much ok as it is, the dials seem to let it down a bit. So, does anyone know of any alternative options for the dials? I've seen the white dials on Zcentre, but does anyone do anything like indiglow dials?

Hi all, I'm new here and I've got some questions! Driving home today in the pouring rain, I noticed a 300zx for sale at a garage just down the road from me. It's a targa in a deep metallic burgundy colour, on a j plate. From what I saw, the bodywork was very tidy and I know from experience that this particular garage usually only offers cars of a high standard. Now, the questions! Do the targas have turbos? The car is up for £3500 iirc, is this a fair price to ask? I was originally looking at getting a 200sx but this car caught my eye today and I've already got a pretty good insurance quote, so I'm seriously considering this car.
