You select the paintwork of the car using the polygonal lassoo tool then copy and paste that to a new layer. Then use the edit > image > hue/saturation and drag the hue across or click colourise the completely emphasise the colour on the paintwork with this it was quick and dirty so just tweeked the hue on the main picture hence the mad trees lol

Cheers matey, to be honest i'm tempted ot just scrub them down and mix some red and blue caliper paint together until i get the right shade of purple for the car rather than trying to guess it through an advert. Or even just paint them black!
