  1. I was thinking of fitting the small screw in racing towing eyes on the back :D Take up less space then
  2. I've got to make the moulds first and luckily i happen to have just become very good friends with an femail ex-automotive upholsterer who's doing my seats for me too :D
  3. Something echoing the design of the original but more like this in black leather with purple stitching and purple suede inlays/mahogany/ally and dark maroon carpets
  4. You should have lol After you said all that at the meet and i waqs driving back i though, "bugger!" :headvswal:
  5. You too matey :D I loved uno/james300s car but i didn't want to just do a straight copy. I loved the black against purple but wanted to keep it subtle like you say. The interior is really where this car is going to shine, i can never compete against people like luke and jason for pure show car as it's a day to day car but the interior is still a foreign area for most 300zx modders. The dash is going to be complete redesigned to bring it up to the 21st century along the lines of the aston marting db9/tvr cerbera hopefully for JAE this year :D
  6. I keep telling myself it'll all be worth it in the end when i get to JAE and i have a car worth showing off :D Can't wait :D
  7. Good choice of username :D Welcome to the club! Nick
  8. Cheers matey, looks like scubie's fabricator is going to be busy soon... :D
  9. Ahh good, yeah i'm sticking to standard zed colours so i can get away without having to repray the rear hatch again or the targas just pick up the panels as is :D
  10. If you could matey you'd be a star :D Not overly bothered about the towing hooks. I can always mount them somewhere else
  11. pmsl  hmm an ejector seat like james bond, good idea! :D
  12. As in blackboard black? Nope, it'd be a standard zed black metallic matey
  13. Hmm wasn't overly impressed with it when i saw it :D
  14. pmsl  In regards the back boxes, unfortunately none of the rear skirts i've looked out fit the boxes i have. I might fabricate a section to cover the towing eyes and complete the rear. pmsl dave, yes i forgot about the pint glass till you mentioned that :D
  15. lol, love it! Do a search for "robot chicken" in youtube it's from the self titled show by seth green :D Awesome show :D

Great to see everyone as usual, my car was looking minging. promise i'll polish it up properly next time and paint calipers lol Thank you all for turning up! Nick
  17. i could never be bothered with that, far too much work lol
  18. It's a killer to come to that decision matey but i know exactly what you mean. I could never own a car like that, just doesn't suit the use i get out of it. Enjoy the Z Run though and i'm sure it'll find a good home :) Nick
  19. lol, runs on waste and goes back to the future as well
  20. Just bought a bomex rear skirt apron so tried it on and shopped it up to how i think i'll be going with the car in the next few months before jae. 99 spec front end will be added soon and the bonnet and nose panel will stay purple, it's just the cockpit that's changing colour ***WAITS FOR FUNKYSI TO HAVE HIS SAY***
