  1. And if you get really desperate i only live in ashby and i have a datascan cable which will do the same thing, you drop me an email tomorrow and i'll tell you if i'm in or not To be fair using a volt meter its really easy and it'll take you five mins to do Nick
  2. Great news it'll be good to see you again as always Jez :D
  3. Cheers buddy, it's a dream at the moment as always but i'm determined to do something big with it for the shows next year. I had a word with wozza about it last week matey, i did ring him to try and bring it down while i was down his way but he was working that day.
  4. Would love to but have so much going on in my life at the moment i haven't got time. Good luck with the project buddy :D
  5. That sounds good, even if we don't use it this month it should be one to concider for our november meet
  6. Congratulations mate, really happy for you both :D
  7. sumshiftyguy: zed centre sell them i think? (http://www.zcentre.co.uk) they're only really any use if you flow them to the intercoolers on a turbo but as mine is an NA there won't really be much point. Thanks for the advise Legrath, the door lightening is something i knew wasn't practical or legal for the UK and as you say a roll cage would be needed to be fitted. The boot there must be a way around but as you say the front end weighs the most and as far as i know everything you can remove from the front end has gone already. With regards to the suspension, tein is the first name that comes to mind and from what i've heard they aren't the best. I've looked around a little bit at suspension but i'll be going to a specialist who offers the whole package where they will choose what will suit the car best and be able to set it up properly. I really want to do this properly, i don't see the point in a car that looks good but doesn't handle, i want it light at possible but with a compromise between the way it looks and the way it handles. Bomex Bonneville is the one below (photoshopped):
  8. Well i've started off by buying a sound car with a lot of potential but i need to make my mark on it otherwise it will always be Jim's car to me. I know i never got very far with my last car but i decided moneywise this would be a better investment to get it to the show car i want. It's still following the black top on candy purple base concept i designed but with a twist. The bodykit that's on already is spot on, i'll just tweak it to fit a bit better and add the matching rear diffuser that's missing from the back. The main amount of cash will go on the bodywork and the finish of the car. Candy Purple - Pearl Black base with a marbled pearlescent sweeping wave design in varying shades of purple. Subtle but different. - Fully adjustable Tein Suspension set up £1000+ - 19" Vortex Wheels £1200 - Bomex Bonneville Rear Diffuser (already have it) - Full respray in Candy Purple and Pearlescent Black with Unique Design Airbrushed into the sides (budgeting about 4-5k) - Carbon Bonnet (£450) - Replacement lightened Body Panels (namely doors, targas and boot lid) (at some stage) And with the help of forza and my younger bro i've got a few concepts (as close as you can get with forza and the parts they have)
  9. Mate have you checked the voltage of the TPS yet? Mine threw a wobbly all the time and i found 2 of them had died. Replaced and calibrated it properly and the autobox went back to being smooth and changing at the right points again
  10. Whoops, sorry buddy. Can't edit my posts so bit of a head slapping DOH! moment after i'd submitted it lol
  11. I love James May, can you imagine TG without him on it? As Si says he's the comic relief to the programme, he's the fop, clarkson is the bighead and richard is the nervous but level headed one of the lot. Perfect combination with them all together, look at fifth gear, it's a poor imitation then try and imagine topgear without may.
  12. I didn't go for personal reasons, a few people i didn't really want to see again. Really wanted to test the NOS out :( Oh well, next year i'll be back with a new engine in place and fully tuned ready to go :D
  13. I'll hold back stabbing you till later, but welcome back buddy! :D
  14. What a great thing to do mate, well done :D I was bullied all the way through school and someone doing that for you is a big thing so he must have thought the world of you for doing that :)
  15. Get your names down guys if you're going: 1. Z Evo Guy50 2. Bantambunny
  16. Top Gear's back! 7th October Top Gear Ep 1/10 Unplaced Day and time to be confirmed BBC TWO http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear Top Gear revs back into action for a new series. In the opening episode, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May revisit their attempt to build amphibious cars and face up to one of their biggest – and choppiest – challenges to date. The Audi R8 attacks the Top Gear track and Dame Helen Mirren is the Star In A Reasonably Priced Car. 29/9/07 - UPDATED LISTING: In the first of a new series Jeremy, Richard and James drive three lightweight supercars across Europe in search of the best roads. Plus Jeremy finds out what happens when you put a Bentley engine into a VW Golf, and Dame Helen Mirren is the Star In A Reasonably Priced Car.
  17. Bugger i didn't think you were coming matey, sorry i missed you :(
  18. Got my tickets to see them in nottingham on the 14th November, seen them twice now at festivals so should be good to see them out in a stadium :D
  19. I was expecting good thing, started watching it the other night and i can't remember a single thing about it. ...helped me concentrate on work though, never worked so hard :D lol
  20. You may find with the temp gauge that the needle will sit halfway as it's only measuring the temp of the air in the pipes if it's lost alot of water. That top pipe empties easily and then it's just on vapours Nice seeing everyone, good meet and another good one already planned for next month. Nick
  21. It'd be good to see you buddy and the food is well worth coming for :D
  22. Good stuff, i don't know if i'll make it. I think the head gasket went today, it hasn't done it again but i'll fit a viscous fan on it and try again. Think the kenlow is dead or there's something very wrong with it, hope it's just boiled over and didn't do any damage
  23. Well my old zed will be there along with kev the new owner. I hope you'll all make him feel welcome, he's a top bloke :D
  24. rear is cack the rest is awesome, something a little different from the norm although how the hell they get to anything in the engine bay i don't know!
  25. Well i have to be honest, am i the only person who didn't really think halo 3 is that special? lol (WAITS FOR ABUSE) I bought it yesterday really excited the best game for xbox 360 and after about 3 hours i was bored and went back to guitar heroes 2 Graphics are alright, but not a patch on gears of war Gameplay is alright, but again just didn't hook me as much as gears Am i the only person who thinks this but it's a bit of a dissapointment compared to gears of war? :x:
