  13. Piece of cake on the front, it's just a few bolts if you've already got the springs fitted but you'll find the backs are a pain in the bum. You have to take out the rear seats, panels, boot panels and everything else just to get to the tops of the suspension mountings. From then on in it's easy, just a few knocks with a hammer to get everything out and i found my bro bouncing the hub up and down helped get the new one in.
  14. Talk about turnaround! lol Well done mate, corking job :)
  15. Cool, hopefully that's all it'll be buddy
  16. I've never had that problem with mine, i use my zed's day to day BUT i now only drive them on a friday and the weekend so i know how exciting it is and i can imagine after 6 months it must be awesome :D
  17. What was the verdict then stella? Were we right with the speed sensor?
  18. What is flocking? It is a coating of nylon fibres applied using electrostatics. Why do WRC cars have flocked dashes? The nylon fibres embeded end on in correct electrostatic flocking absorb the light giving it great anti glare properties. This ensures that no matter how much sunshine, from any angle, the reflection of the dash is not seen in the windscreen. What can be flocked? Pretty much any non-porous material can be flocked. Why do you need electrostatics? The 60,000v electrostatic charge propels the fibre end on into the adhesive. Without the static charge the coating would be un-durable and shed its fibres. It would also be un-uniform, patchy and not have the same anti glare properties. Is it water proof? Yes, the nylon fibres are waterproof and so is the special adhesive. We have coated interior roof linings for the boat building industry where water resistance is always a requirement. How durable is the finish? The finish is very durable. Many OE manufacturers use it in glove compartments and boot interiors for this reason. The nylon fibres are very hard wearing. Suffolk Flocking Services also use a special two-part epoxy adhesive to ensure ultimate durability so that no fibres will be shed over time. How do I clean my flocked dash? The best way to clean your dash is with a hoover using a brush attachment. If you spill something on it, warm water and a cloth can be used to remove it.
  19. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flocking_%28texture%29 As i thought, they cover it in glue and spray it with fibres evenly
  20. covered in fluff basically :D lol John dixon/friday has a flocked dash in his garage. works quite well actually its like a velour type finish:
  21. Yep, NA front bumper and the petrol cap is in front of the arch so NA SWB of all the weird cars to pick :D lol
  22. np buddy :D Oi, i'll have you know there's nowt wrong with scorpios, ugly as **** but as a day to day drive commuting 70+ miles a day it's brill for a grand :D :hyper:
  23. You're right buddy, its just i've been working 5am till 2am the next morning monday through till today so can't quite get my head into thinking its bedtime. Right i'm callin it a night, night all! Nick
  24. Whooaaaaaaaaaaaa there fellas, i know exactly what it could be, failed on every single one of the 7 scorpios i've owned in my time. Try changing the speed sensor held on by one bolt on the mt75 gearbox on the left hand side. Dead easy to do, the gears wear down and you lose 3-4th gear and the gears go clunky. I've bought three of them where they thought the gearbox was dead and it was this problem. £35 from ford brand new or a fiver from the scrappy If it's not that and it keeps slipping then it is the box, they usually go around 100k if they've been treated hard
