  1. Awesome stuff buddy, i've got wilwood superlights fitted to mine but i've always thought the discs could be a bit bigger, maybe not that big though! lol What make are the discs and where did you get the brackets from?
  2. lol, i'm on 30k plus i run my own business but i have a lot of debt left by my ex and from uni which means i have about 11k in loans to pay off and after my fuel bill every month i only really have 500 a month to live not including pleasure driving, repairs on the car, 3-4 meals out a month and some dvds and its all gone again. This month i had to shell out 450 quid for a new set of glasses and sunnies, i've got my tax due, my mot due and the suspension's knackered so i'm broke before i even start. Ah well i'll find a way but i'm very reluctant to break the zed and move on :(
  3. Bugger, update: silly moo's gone and got back with him hasn't she? :( So looks like i'll be keeping the zed on the road till the end of the drag racing championship then i'll be declaring her sorn for the forseable future until i can sort my finances out bugger it :(
  4. Well a friend of mine just split with her long term boyfriend and works in coventry so she's happy to move to lutterworth with me :D That means i can walk to work and my petrol money pays for the rent so i can keep the zed, whoop whoop! :hyper:
  5. Well i've found a way to keep the zed and move out (more about that in the thread) so its staying :D SO i'm still in the running to maintain my lead in the championship so bring it on slickmiester   Butty breakfast sounds good to me buddy, see you at the pod on the 18th! :hyper:
  6. I'm there buddy, going to be very very early though as i have v festival the same day so ned to get my runs in quick to make it into the 4th round then get to shropshire asap so i don't miss any good bands :D
  7. It ends here: I'm putting some halfords ripspeed stickers on my car next week and it'll give it 1000bhp, nuff said ;)
  8. Ey up buddy :D Good to hear from you again. Hope the land of oz is treating you well and i'll have to pop over for a cuppa soon :duffer:
  9. Great work buddy, well done :D
  10. Man that looks like fun, it must have been baking hot down by the track! Corking photos too :D
  11. I'm working flat out to make sure i'm ahead for the rest of the week :( I'm off commuting to leeds every day starting tomorrow leaving at 5am and getting back at 9pm :( Only problem working for a charity, good for salary, bad for being stingy buggers for stopping in hotels lol

I'm going to be there the week after for round 3 of the zed club drag racing challenge before driving at full speed to v festival to catch the first acts :)
  13. pmsl  And his constant refernces to burning to souls of our feet with his crack pipe  Oh you youngsters are so funny
  14. I'm just wondering whether you still read the posts on here or not buddy? :D
  15. Speaking of smoking a crack pipe, where the hell is Craig David these days? :slap:
  16. Happy death day buddy! :duffer:
  17. Cheers guys for all your support. I'm just testing the water to see if i can reclaim the value of the car in parts first, no point in trying to sell it in the current climate it wouldn't be worth my while but within 24 hours of putting this post up and only 10% of the items on my list being dibbed right left and centre its looking like its worth be breaking it. I have added everyone's names next to all the items on a spreadsheet and if/when i decide to break i'll contact you all regarding prices. For a rough guide, the parts are all less than 2 years old and have been on the car less than 6k so i'm looking for roughly half the price new which i think is pretty reasonable, there's no point trying to ask for more In terms of my job, i get paid a fair old amount for the job i'm in just i have alot of outgoings mainly the loan for the zed, the loan for the last zed, some finance etc which i want to clear which doesn't leave me enough to move out and that's why i'm thinking about this. I wouldn't stop posting on here and my love of zed's hasn't gone, i will be getting another just after i've sorted everything out. Next time it'll be a shorty slicktop so i at least stand a chance against slick pete in the zed drag challenge ;) lol
  18. Thanks Twinz, it's only a temporary blip :) If i had the space i'd do it but i haven't and the car will sit there rotting away wasting money. I have a fresh start ahead of me, someone special i want to be closer to as they're currently 20 miles away and the amount of miles i'm clocking up its costing a fortune. She loves the zed but if i means i get to spend more time with her and have my own place then it makes sense.
  19. It's the sad state of the market buddy, i hate doing it after the amount me and the previous owner have put into the car. Cooling hoses, fuel lines, brake lines are yours (first dibs if i break) but the willwood is already dibbed but i'll give you secondseys :) Gearbox i'm planning on putting everything together for a manual conversion for someone so i'll see if that sells first then you can have dibs on the gearbox Nick
  20. I'll probably end up with another one at some point just not for a couple of years till everything's sorted and i clear my debts. Call it an insentive :)
  21. The scorpio isn't even 100% mine it's part my dads so even if i moved to nottingham soon i couldn't take it with me, the zed is limited to 5000 miles per year so i'd be spending even more buying another car. I'm just trying to get my monthly outgoings and debts wiped out so i can start again.
  22. Unfortunately someone's already go there first hon :( Bloody vultures the lot of you  I don't want to break it but i get nearly twice the value of the car back and the mot/tax is next month so more expense before i sell it if it were to be sold as a stand alone car
  23. I'm keeping a dibs list matey so you're going on now, when i've made my mind up i'll honour whatever people have asked for so you've got first refusal It is an NA just so you know but the only thing different is the belts you'll need to fit a TT
  24. Cheers matey, i've replied Cheers buddy, it'll drive me mad not having anything sporty so looking toward something lightweight and small engine but fun that'll crack 40mpg on the motorway, diesal is out of the question because the price of it at the moment doesn't make it a wise choice. Something like a VX220 2.2/Elise would do about 44mpg according to the clubs and i'd still be able ot attend the car shows with something i was proud of. MR2 MK2 GTi is also an option, i loved my old one. I've got alot of choices to make in a short amount of time before my mot comes up next month
