  1. on J spec models the side lights are inside the fog lights..... also on some models the light next to the indicator illuminates to light up the kerb apparently when you put the indicator on, its perfectly normal.... cheers Andy....
  2. I just used some rubber matting i had in the shed and cut it into strips, doesn't have to be rubber, anything will do to slip behind the original rubber trim, this forces the rubber trim out and gets the window to seal against the original rubber trim.... if you get stuck then i'll dig some more out and send it to you, the rubber I used was approx 2-3mm thick, worked a treat......... stick some folded up paper in there just as a test, then pour water on the roof, see if it leaks, I tried it in a few areas and hey presto a result. when you've found where to put something more permanent then drop me a PM and i'll sort some out for you. cheers Andy..
  3. How about the most improved Z of the month...... when you do mods, no matter how small its a really great feeling when people like what you've done, makes it all worth while. not only mods but even just making any improvement in appearence, driveability, reliability, performance and most of all "looks from the ladies ability", if you know what i mean...... cheers Andy..
  4. right take a look at the pics, my roof doesn't leak anymore, see if the problem i had is the same as yours, you may have to try out different positions for the strips, but it cost nothing and most importantly it works !! cheers Andy.. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f125/spam_junk/scan0016.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f125/spam_junk/scan0014.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f125/spam_junk/scan0015.jpg
  5. mine used to leak and I found that it wasn't leaking from the roof but from the rubber that sits against the drivers window glass, even though the water was dripping from the top of the A pillar. When the window was up there was little or no contact with the rubber seal so water was getting in and running down the gap between the targa roof and the A pillar and then dripping on the drivers seat. When i got my leather put in I decided to do sometging about it, and the solution was simple, I will go and take some pics now and put them up, see if its the same problem as yours..... back in a little while.... Andy....

  13. one rule for the public....... 12 Months in Prison and a 3 year ban for 160mph! - March 8 2002 Last year a biker was stopped in Wales for speeding and the police discovered an on board video camera. When they played the tape it showed him riding at upto an indicated 160mph The rider - Wayne Soman, 32, was prosecuted on the strength of this video and today was sent to prison for 12 months and also given a 3 year ban and ordered to retake his test. Chief Inspector Ian Miles, of Dyfed Powys Police said: "Clearly the judge in this case recognised the serious danger to the innocent public by an individual who posed a serious threat to them by his careless and irresponsible driving." No accident occured and no injury occured - yet the rider was sent to prison for a year. and another for the police...... I was testing the car, says Pc clocked at 159mph By Becky Barrow (Filed: 20/04/2005) A policeman accused of driving at up to 159mph said yesterday that he had simply been trying to "familiarise" himself with the new car. Pc Mark Milton, 38, told magistrates in Ludlow, Shropshire, that he had taken out the new, unmarked 3.2 litre GSI Vauxhall Vectra to assess its capabilities. Milton, who qualified as a Grade I advanced driver in 1995, said he had never driven the model before taking it out on patrol early on Dec 5, 2003. He denies a charge of dangerous driving and five separate speeding charges. Milton, from Bratton, Telford, said: "I had taken the opportunity to familiarise myself with that vehicle. At no time did I consider that anybody would be at jeopardy given that, even on advanced courses whilst still a student under instruction, I was being encouraged to drive at speeds greater than 145mph on motorways." need I say more guys...........
  14. http://www.speed-trap.co.uk/ check this site out, theres real world cases and the penalties they got and how to defend your case, its a must site for those of us who like going fast.. !! HTH and good luck ( I once got off with 6 points and £150 fine for doing 99.69mph in a 60mph zone ) Andy..
  15. thanks for that, if all else fails then i'll give them a call.... thanks Andy
  16. hi mate, how much do you want for the invertor ? I can hear my invertor working, it makes high pitched sounds as it cycles through the dimming cycle, so I would say the invertor is knackered because it won't let me change anything and it still cycles through when the dimmer switch is unplugged.... let me know how much mate. cheers Andy
  17. thanks mate..... PM has been sent to you.... Andy......
  18. you've got a point there, its true you don't "feel" the cars accelaration like the passenger does because you are bracing yourself without even knowing it when your driving and the passenger is not...... go and drive the M3 then get into yours, see if you feel the difference ?
  19. what colour does the invertor give you ? if its blue then i'd be interested, doesn't matter how many connections cause I could always splice into them to give me more ? cheers Andy
  20. they change colour and dim, there are 6 connections I think ?
  21. hello mate, yes they are, but I bought them from another member - Dave.. - a couple of months ago, they were unused. They aren't changing colour they are just going through the dim to bright cycle constantly even when the switch is unplugged ??
  22. good thinking there...... thats what i'll do, do you think it would work ok, are the indiglo the same as the electro-luminescent ? thanks Andy...
  23. yes, but i'm not powering the invertors from the dash, they are powered from the ashtray light supply ( so I can dim the L/H and R/H pods but still keep the dials bright )........
