finally on the road again after a year :-)
I see what you are saying and i am actually swayed to agree with you there, either way i like the matt black it is at the moment and the beauty with that its a black car anyway so there was no need to even change the log book colour. Maybe when i have made my other bits for it i may look into wrapping it and then get a better finish on it. But in the mean time the camo decals are going on if the guy makes them correct this time round.. Would like to stay away from the "car park" thing as much as possible. Would much rather be seeing the track or a nice rounderbout ;-) lol

finally on the road again after a year :-)
I'm not too sure really, i'd like to get it painted in pearl plus and a pearl purple that i have already bought "BUT" as we all know spraying isnt cheap and at the moment with trying to find a missfire i have more pressing issues to worry about than paint. Satin would go with it but like i say the matt black was a quick cheap fix purely so i could take it to cadwell park round the track and it not be an embarrassment really. I mean the paint was only £7.50 for the tin and £1.50 for the roller so either way i don't mind keeping it matt black or changing colour in time. Although i have ordered some camo decals in satin black, anthracite and bronze, that i will be putting on it for a temp measure to brighten it up a bit while i get some other bits done and then can decide on what route i go down paint wise

ha thanks Stephen, didnt look like that a few weeks ago though it looked like a patch work quilt haha, the matt black was just a quick fix to an expensive problem painting wise. But funnily enough has sort of been pulled off i think

Not to every ones taste but it makes me smile, after the horrendous engine build with everything that could go wrong that actually did go wrong she's running 330 bhp at the rear wheels at the moment with the potential of running 450+ at the wheels in time when i have sorted out a flaming missfire that i cant seem to find. She still drives well though and sounds unreal (more to my taste again) Theres still a lot to do to the car bodywork wise but the shell is solid and has not rust or rot anywhere for a change, the targa's are great and do not let water in at all which everyone knows makes a change. So at a round up a very good solid base to start working on for a little project. For the ones who know me will already know that i think out of the usual lines of zed owners so i am expecting a lot of "looks shit or what a waste" etc but hey..... Its my car i spend my money on it so its my choice what i do to it. Hopefully in time i will get the time to get done to it what i want too and get it running the power that i have got it built to do. heres a little list of the mods of my jap factory manual oversized forged pistons eagle rods new engine wiring loom nismo 740cc injectors custom made 1bar actuators mac boost valve AEM standalone ecu T28 turbo's (rebuilt) AEM 320lph fuel pump all the over engineered rubbish deleted japspeed intercoolers japspeed uprated racing rad N/A oil jets Competition stage 3 semi segmented full faced clutch N/A rear diff N/A power steering pot and pump roll cage (to be fitted) bucket seats custom made bonnet (by myself) Custom made side skirts (to be completed) Japanese racing JR11's 10.5j Wide arch body wide arch over fenders (to be fitted) re-made wings west wings front bumper (customised) Rear bumper delete S/s exhaust system stillen adjustable anti roll bars front and rear 350z grooved front breaks and refurbished/overhauled calipers drilled and grooved rear disks HKS coil-overs E-break (to be fitted) A few things that is in the planning BGW BGW custom made hanging bracket Custom made rear diffuser integrated mounting point onto the BGW bracket rear space frame drift bumper onto the rear Hope you enjoy the read guys and hopefully see you all at some point in the future :-)

red Z32 stolen Chesterfield
funnily enough i've just been doing the same myself..... No not heard a thing. Insurance company are ringing me next week with an offer. Bought another zed already and just about skinted myself to get it too, but when they eventually get there fingers out of there ass's and offer me a settlement i can get an engine and a box as well as other things to get it on the road. Will be posting a list of parts that im after soon i would have thought.

red Z32 stolen Chesterfield
The point in with my car, it was built on a budget, yes most parts didn't cost me £1'000's of pounds but they are priceless to me as most of the guys know that i either made them with my own hands or customized them to how i wanted them, most of the modifications are under body for handling and the ride. It may look battered to you guys who like there cars to be perfect, BUT i drove this car like it was meant to be driven and that was hard. These battered parts that some of the guys mention are unique and not one other zed has them. The car was not meant to be "a show car" it was meant to be a drivers car like it was All this being said once again thank you all for your support and keeping your eyes open for me. If you catch the ****ers before i do you have my permission to chop off what ever you wish on them because if you don't i will do the thieving ****ers

Engine wiring loom HELP!!!!
to be fare i think its mostly the connectors that are shafted so they are getting dipped in cider vinegar to be cleaned up and sorted out, but like you say it maybe worth tracking the nackered wires and replacing them. We'll see what this guy says thats re doing the loom and see what he suggests

Engine wiring loom HELP!!!!
have tried another ecu in it and that didnt work either so cant be that :-/All these looms are that old and brittle that they will work on the cars as they have settles in a place and then when they get taken off the wires must snap internally. So thought so it this is my only real option for a quick fix

Engine wiring loom HELP!!!!
sorry guys i'm probably not being that clear am i lol. The wires will be getting marked so in time i could find out that they are i'll just be using the same wire thats all. It may sound selfish but once the looms on and in another 20 odd years the car will either be worth scrapping or have a new owner that will be made aware of it anyway. As of today i have got an auto electrician on the job so at least i know it will be done to scratch, well to the best as what i can do in the time with what money i can spare at the moment. Having to clean the old plugs/connections and the ones that can be accessed and have new inner connections placed in that will be getting done. Well they will have to do until i can get some new ones and get them on in time :-)

Engine wiring loom HELP!!!!
Hi guys, the engine wiring loom on my 300 is proper shafted (the ecu loom part), after trying 3 looms, which was probably due to removing them from previous engines and un settling them. As you can understand probably i am having no luck on getting my car started again i have decided to make a fresh loom from near enough scratch baring using the old connectors?? Firstly i aren't bothered about the wires being colour coding as its not coming off again if i can help it.... just to clarify that!! What gauge wires would i need to use? is there more than one size of wire on the loom? have any of you guys got any advice?

yes did it all myself in my garage, around 450 hours all in all, i had to get the car sprayed by a mate as i sort of have never sprayed a full car yet only bits and pieces. The cars in the garage at the moment getting a manual conversion so hopefully after friday it will be back problem free too :surrender: result haha
