  2. Yeah... I'd ask the same for my set. Haha page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c669598163
  3. Keep in mind the technology/feature of UV cut glass found on late model Z32's was only placed/used on the door glass. I spent a lot of time sorting through all the part numbers and Japanese literature to come to a conclusion on the different glass options. I'd also like to state that while there is blue glass tint for the Z32...starting in 1995 all JDM and Euro spec cars got green tint glass. USDM got green tint in 1996. The green tint can sometimes appear as blue or clear depending on lighting conditions. Good info this at my blog: https://z32enjoytheride.wordpress.com/2015/06/19/post-41-9900-spec-uv-insulated-cut-glass/
  4. Hello all, I have a production number list from Nissan that was produced on 01/97. However, I'm not certain whether it includes both LHD and RHD euro Z32's. The chassis numbers don't determine whether the car is LHD or RHD. I Think it may but I could use some help determining this. The code for steering side is within the model code, which doesn't have any bearing on production numbers with this list. Would a few of you be willing to send me their Chassis numbers? I could use a few numbers from between 90-94, having a 94 would be helpful as well and easy as there were only a few made in early 94 before Nissan stopped production for the UK. Once I can determine exactly what this list shows I'll generate a pdf copy that is easy to read and make available so we know what the production numbers look like. Andrew G, I recall you may have a UK spec 94, could you help me out? For those of you with JDM Z32's I've already generated their production number list. You can find it here on my website. https://z32enjoytheride.wordpress.com/jdm-production-number-list/
  5. Hello, I hoping someone who may have torn leather seats from a UK spec Z32 may be willing to remove the heated seat elements from the seats, as I'd like to purchase them. There are four total, two in each seat. I would need all the wiring connectors still attached to the elements and also a pigtail harness from the body side that the element harness plugs into.
  6. Wow, that's the highest I've ever seen those go, 179,000 yen. Previous highest was around 13,000 yen. hmm...wonder if I should sell, my spare set. lol.
  7. What is odd about the photos is the fact they show t-top shades on them. The mirror coat tops did not come with shades, nor did they come with the tabs for mounting the shades. So not sure if the shades are just laying on top or if someone glued a set of mounting tabs on. The carbon fiber bezel around the handle is aftermarket.
  8. Nope it was a feature of two specific trims starting with the Limited S. And it's not just a tinted film. If it were film you'd see the black painted trim on the glass. More on them here at my blog. https://z32enjoytheride.wordpress.com/2016/02/19/post-44-jdm-mirror-coat-t-top-glass/
  9. Yep, replica or sorts. It has a mix mash of SMZ parts and Stillen GTZ (another stillen specialty model from the early 90's). Judging from the plenum it is also a later 96+ model. Some time ago a few vendors in Japan sold SMZ parts...even stuff like the floor mats, center console cover, shifter etc. So several replica/copies are found in Japan. Largely the SMZ program (like many custom Z programs) failed to generate a lot of sales. It's possible Stillen had extra parts remaining that would never be used and were sold in Japan to get rid of them. The Australian Z32 by Stillen isn't technically an SMZ. It was simply a 25th anniversary edition model by Steve Millen. The Australian market never used the term/model SMZ. I've tracked a lot of the SMZ's for many years now. Some authentic models are located in Japan and Korea due to person moves by their owners.
  10. Here is what the optional marble center bezel looks like. It has more of a dotted pattern to it and is not as glossy as the black wood. From the optional parts brochure. A close up: Some of the sellers on the auctions simply don't know which is which. There are also two versions of the Version R carbon Fiber bezels, an early 97-98 and the 99-00.
  11. That's not the marble look finish. The marble is different and was only optional on the center bezel. This is what Nissan called their black wood trim, only found on 99/00 "300zx" trim models.
  12. Those are not marble. Those are the standard black wood accent trim found on the "300zx" trim. This model trim was considered the most luxurious trim package for the 99/00 models. The black wood was used on the center bezel and the window switch bezels. There was a marble/stone center bezel that was optional. I'd have to got back and look at my brochures but this piece may have been discontinued by the time the 99/00 models were released.
  13. That for sure is not a red/gold. The photo of my emblems Andrew posted from my blog shows authentic pieces and their corresponding part numbers. The sills are also not authentic.
  14. I certainly will. Thank you.
  15. Not certain you could easily swap those parts. You'll like have to make some custom pieces as I had to make it work. Yes that was me. I had originally posted there for some ideas and help but really didn't get too far. After really looking at the two units and playing with them on my own I now have a good game plan for making the two work. I just haven't had time to make any further progress but hope to do so in the coming weeks.
  16. Correct. The JDM mirrors are set up permanently for RHD. Using them in a LHD makes viewing anything out of them useless without modification. My blog on this shows how I modified them to make viewing out of them in a LHD car possible.
  17. If I had to guess it is probably very similar to the USDM in sport mode. It's too bad the new model reference guide I have from Nissan on the 99/00 Version R models doesn't really detail what exactly is new other than shocks and body stiffening enhancements.
  18. Euro spec cars have the same rear shocks and actuators as USDM electronic adjustable suspension. Their system doesn't have the front shocks and actuators or the switch. This system only works or stiffens the shocks when the e brake is applied. I'm not sure whether the Euro models have the same module as USDM that controls the suspension however. I added the electronic suspension to my non turbo car. It was easy to do. I enjoy having it with lowering springs on my TT as well. 99/00 Version R models have a sport suspension. I'm not sure what the detailed characteristics are of it. I do know they do have a different shock than found previously on JDM models .
  19. Here is the breakdown in addition to the mirror control. JDM: Power folding switch. Optional Auto power fold control module. USDM: Mirror defrost switch (early models only. This feature was later incorporated into the rear window defrost switch) Electronic Adjustable suspension (turbo models only) Euro: Only mirror controls for early UK and France models. Heated seat switch added in 92 both UK and mainland Europe. Mainland Europe also had height adjustable headlights switch. (Germany, Poland, Italy, Lithuania etc except France) Australia: Only mirror controls.
  20. Sounds like the 99/00 spec Version S seats. I recently picked up a set of those, love em!
  21. I've been after the Pit Sign optional part for a while but it is hard to come by. It was available for a lot of other Nissan's during that time so you would think finding one would be easy but so far it has not turned up that way. Pit Sign is a small computer/controller - similar to the Auto mirror box) that calculates oil change intervals. There was a small indicator light that would come on and a small pin slot for resetting the light. In other cars it fit perfectly into an empty switch spot on the dash...such as a fog light switch etc. For the Z there really wasn't a spot for it so oddly Nissan's instructions state to mount it below the seat. I always wonder if it could go just below the cluster into the one blank spot found on later model Z32's...formerly the cruise control indicator light etc was found in this spot. Here is what it looks like: The antibacterial items were standard on the 99/00 models. They were applied to the commonly touched areas. The steering wheel, door handles, shift knob and e-brake. So if you bought a 99/00 shift knob the treatment is already applied. There was nothing physically different about the door handles on a 99/00 model but after reading this in the new car reference guide I set out to compare the part numbers and sure enough the 99/00 models use a whole new part number for the handles...due to this treatment. There was also an optional treatment that could be purchased and the dealer would apply it to the carpet areas. This was also a deodorizer. I believe a diagram of this is shown in the 99/00 optional parts catalog. I don't have a photo on hand but can take one later today to post. I typically see the 99/00 Version R seats once or twice a year come up for sale. The asking price is dependent on condition. They are by far the cheapest seats to ship. The most recent set in good shape sold for about 540 Euro. Prior to that a mint set sold for 900 Euro.
  22. Thank you guys! It is my blog. Simon sent me a message told me to check out this post. Every now and then I venture over to your forum to see what's new. I glad some of you have found my blog interesting or useful if not just a fun read. Owing a Z32 since 2001 I've learned a lot over the years. Further, meeting new people across the globe has provided me an opportunity to discover new information. Some of you, phutumsch, AndrewG, and of course Simon I've exchanged emails with in an effort to gather further info I had on any leads. You guys have been awesome! As far as the Auto Power Folding Mirror, AndrewG has identified correctly how it works. The Auto feature is a rather rare optional part offered in Japan. It is a control box with wire harness that is connected to a power supply and the mirror switch harness. You use the existing mirror switch that originally came in the Z. The part/kit also comes with a label that can be applied to the switch so you know which direction the switch needs to be in to place the mirrors in Auto mode. Currently one of my posts is down...my Euro headlight post. As Simon mentioned (he helped me acquire one of three sets I've picked up over the years, lol) I'm working on modifying the Electronic Vertical Aiming Headlight (mostly a mainland Europe feature) to accommodate the Xenon projector from the Xenon headlight (99/00). I'm hoping it will work but we'll see...I'm running into some challenges I did not expect but I think there is still a way to complete this. dutchgold92 - The UV Cut glass found on the final models always intrigued me. I remember reading about it in some of the literature I have. Problem was I couldn't figure out if all of the glass had it and as I discovered only the door glass has it once I got the new model reference guides. I think the half mirror tint glass is rather cool from the final models. Limited S models from 1994 and Version S with RECARO seat package models from late 94-96 got t-top heat reflective mirror glass. These are really rare but I think really cool, however they are for 2+2 only.
  23. I'm helping out and the guy from States! lol. I believe blue/green clocks were found only in Convertible models. I'm trying to verify this now with a buddy of mine who has a vert. I show only two part numbers for JDM clocks. 25820-40P00 all years 25820-47P00 all years Vert only USDM is as follows: 25820-30P00 is for 89-07/90 - supersedes to 44P00 25820-44P00 is for 07/90-09/93 25820-46P00 is for 93 Verts also NLA (I wonder if this is still white in color...waiting on my friend to verify with his 93 vert) The 94-96 vert clock shows NLA and says to us 25820-44P00 but notes there is a color difference. Haven't found a part# for 94-96 non verts but I own a 96 and it is white in color. Also beginning in 94 all USDM clocks had the reset button removed...so there has to be another part number. Euro Part# 25820-40P00 all years - same as non vert JDM Greg
