  1. I have read that before. But really how often does his engine in that get stripped down on a drag car and rebuilt running that power? Like I said I personally prefer them for uprated engines and have had no problems with them. Oem will always be a perfect fit due to them being designed by nissan for the engine specifically under normal use. To use a standard gasket on a skimmed head tho does change the tolerances and a thicker gasket (cometic) imo helps to get it back to where it should be. I agree that people will either like or dislike them but im on the side of preferring them over stock.
  2. Better heat handling, keeps a good seal over a standard if heads do get a little warped and can handle higher compression from cylinders. But if its not for some people to think there any better than oem gaskets then thats for them to choose, I personally prefer them to the originals.
  3. To me the failures would be more down to incorrect proper preparation of the adjoining surfaces. Can't see for any reason reason why they would fail other than poor preparation of the adjoining surfaces. The standard gasket are good, but I still say/believe cometic are better.
  4. Most likely through people that haven't used them. They are far better than a standard gasket.
  5. If I was you if simply use it as a chance to just get a cometic head gasket as really the are the best option overall.
  6. After reading through this thread I would say that in all honesty that mondo should be recording back every penny he ha spend in good will to purchase a Otten that is quite simply incorrectly advertised (Albeit unknown to the seller). As a business it is 100% there place to ensure that the item is what It says it is and not a modified item that may fit other models. As a consumer you are completely reliant on the seller to be correct in there advertisement and If a genuine error has occurred then sick it up and put it down as a learning curve and offer a simple replacement and pay for all postage cost incurred by the purchaser. This is of course just my opinion.
  7. Yeah the camber would be severe, but it's not gonna be bad when driving unless your going down Road dragging is arse on tarmac, lol. Maybe adjustable upper camber arms could be set to keep a usable camber when lowered a little bit.
  8. He ya go mate. http://www.airrunnersystems.com/air-suspension/nissan
  9. And this is a pic of the KnightsBridge performance one in its Hay day.
  10. This is a short clip of a different one on YouTube. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CB4QuAIwAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fm.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DbhayGvQN5_k&rct=j&q=airride.com%2F300zx&ei=xh1lVMDPIdLkaruwgOAO&usg=AFQjCNGPlq1lCUjHpOGEzMIw5eOENlmnoA&sig2=EsVn6F1OK50E4bz5z5R-Xw
  11. There was one done by knightsbridge performance and IMO it was great. They sold it earlier this year but am sure if you Google it you might find it. It was a blue zx.
  12. Just read through all this thread and to be honest it would seem that it would be best for it to be cleaned up and that pig and dkb should note take a step back from posting until the parcel either arrives on the date stated or for some reason it doesn't as it's all getting a little out of hand. Noz in all fairness to you I understand that you've got a gripe against dkb but seeing as this thread is in reality between pig and dkb i think itwouldbe better to please take a step back for now and lets see how this transaction turns out. It's a very sad time for the z community when things like this happen.
  13. That's ace. I want one,lol
  14. It's a very sad thing when people rip others off. Can't honestly see why they do it, the little money they get is worth far less than the help they get from on here. Hope it turns out to be just a communications problem and can be stored out amicably. Best of luck mate.
  15. Don't hesitate and get the police rung. Unless they are laid in hospital half past dead there's no excuse to not at the very least get untouched with ya.
  16. This is exactly what a garage is for, a proper man cave is the best place to be. Looking forward to the updates gary. Keep up the good work, but remember to make sure the space for the z always comes first.
  17. So if a high amount of the Scottish population truly want to be separate from England, if the poll ends up with a NO vote can English do a vote whether or not we want to keep Scotland as part of England knowing they are so ungrateful for all that England does/had done for them?
  18. So sorry to hear of your bad news fella. If you can only get 2 days bereavement then you could always take them and then take a month on sick with depression which you will get paid for. I know its not an ideal situation but surely being at home would be more beneficial for both yourself and your family at this time.
  19. Can't believe such a great person has gone in the way he has. R.i.p. robin williams
  20. Happy birthday Andy. Have yourself a great day
  21. Hope you get a result from the cctv on this. Absolutely hate thieves, they should be publicly flogged and branded on the head so everyone can see just who and what they are.
  22. The only good thing people can take from this is that there will be no one that will allow a driver like that attend any other cruises. Feel really sorry for all those who got caught up in that mess. Hopefully the drive will be facing prison time for that stupidity.
  23. Thats some bad results for ya there. Tt should be upwards around 160-165psi each. Would look to be a beginning of a rebuild with them results.
