all done, found where the remote wire was earthing, i've replaced it and the head unit is fine, no need to wire the remote to the ignition now :dance:

Didn't get time. It got dark. Gonna pull it out tonight and check for damage. then re wire either to the remote or the ignition untill i can send off the head unit

My amp remote stopped working yesterday so i tried putting it to the ignition wire to the head unit, Turns out the amp remote wire must be earthing somewhere as not the ignition wire doesn't work either, Is it fused?? The cig lighter still works

Glad i've got the Z to use in times like these!!, only 2 tubes were working this morning and the buses are rammed!!!
