normally the converter removes the limiter (i think) so i think you have a different problem

hi guys n gals just a quick question. i have a loudish whurring noise coming from my gearbox when i have my foot on the clutch especially when the car is cold. pretty sure it's the release bearing but my question is can i just replace the release bearing or should i do the whole clutch? cheers alex

not sure you should look to buy an ex-MOD one mate IMO. they will have been ragged by virtually everyone who drove em. on the other hand the mechanics are pretty good on the whole so they shoould've been repaired pretty well

what speed are you doing at these revs? i'm thinking that maybe the limiter hasn't been removed. top spped with limiter is 112mph IIRC. good choice on the car too mate. i have a 1990 manual N/A :D

he's definately got it in him. got a hell of a good temprement on him too. 3 times he had his lead reduced by the safety car and showed no signs of frustration. just kept his mind on the job
