  1. you could pick up an old bmw m5 for about 4k i think. very tempting IMO clicky

  4. had a bit of a strange problem today. was going along at 50 in fifth in some roadworks on the motorway and all of a sudden i lost all drive. changed gears a bit and got some drive back and as soon as i was driving at 50 in 5th it happened again. andy ideas what caused this? cheers alex
  5. same reason some people have a vintage or classic car. to allow people who weren't old enough to experience them first hand when they were in front line use experience them. its just the regulations for allowing it to fly are a lot tighter and it costs a large fortune to keep them running. this is the one that is nearly airworthy (clicky)
  6. good luck mate. when my bro got married we all had different cufflinks. mine said "best man", my dads said "father of the groom" and my brothers had "groom" on them with a little pic of a ball and chain.
  7. cool vid mate. my favourite jet ever an i wish i was able to work on them when i was in the RAF. pity none of em fly anymore but i there is one being restored to airworthy condition
  8. the temp sensor is 21 quid from MJP in the traders section. easy to remove with a deep socket but it will be tight. cleaning the connectors might help.

  13. not sure if its a quad cam mate but £360 was how much i spent for my cam belt change.
  14. yep cleaning the lenses should be the first thing to do. i haven't got the HID kit yet but just cleaning the lenses helps a lot.

  20. its when the car was built. mine was imported in 2002 (IIRC) is a 1990 series 1 and decatted with no problems from the mot emissions test.
  21. paid £425 for the ones smithy did last year. not managed to get em fitted yet tho :( i think the cheap ones off ebay need some 'adjusting' with a hammer so i'd stear clear of them
