  1. It may well do 50mpg, but it's the content of the exhaust gasses that are 10x worse. I read an article relating to new cars vs old cars. Take a 20 year Ford Fiesta, the pollutants it emits are the equivalent of running 10x new Fiestas. I bet they made no mention of the amount of carbon and additional fumes the Allegro produced during that test. There are arguments for both. Consumption vs emissions are all relative.
  2. I've seen someone do that to an Evo and the gauges were facing the other way! Sad and pointless. That Mondeo is a steaming pile of horse shit. Has someone vandalised the bonnet or are those graphics? *edit*, I just saw, 'A couple of key scratches'.....bwahahahahaahha haahhahaaha the whole car is covered in them! LOL also at the piss stained seats. "This car has to be seen to be believed"....is it EVEN worse in the flesh then?
  3. They are both around the £80 - £90 mark iirc over here. Silly money really, but there's a lot to be said for the stock knob. It fits properly, is very well made and is correctly weighted. Many cheap aftermarket knobs appear to be manufactured from nothing more than flimsey plastic and some fake leather and weigh nothing and you loose the feel. I bought an original OEM one, there's no red anywhere on the rest of the car and red/white is a nasty clash in many cases. I got mine from Performance Nissan in LA last summer and I paid $50, which was £25 at the time! Just popped it in my suitcase! :) I should have brought 100 of the things back with me! Some of the better quality Momo ones feel pretty good, but can't beat the comfort and feel of the stock shifter IMO.
  4. That might suit some of the modifications you have planned! On a serious note, you need to check whether the size of the thread is compatible with the hole in the other end of the gearstick. Whilst most cheap aftermarket knobs are advertised as 'universal, fits all', with the Z, that's not always the case. The Z's stick has quite a bit of 'girth'. I wouldn't fit it.
  5. There used to be a pearl yellow SWB that lived in the next town on from my parents. I guess I must have been 16 or 17, so it was only a few years old and always remembered how exotic it looked. Then, 6 years later when I was working at the MOD, I quite often saw a red TT that was owned by one of the scientists there. It was at that point that I thought, 'I'd like to get one of those'. As luck wouldn't have had it, I was made redundant a few years after I started there and didn't pursue in get one. A few years on back in a decent job, I started looking again. BMW 8 series and Gen 4 Z28 Camaros were cars that were at the top of my list, but I kept going back to the Z. I've had mine about 3 and a half years now and I have enjoyed owning it. I love the rarity value and the fact that the Z32 looks so good, even now long after production ended. I feel disgruntled about the car sometimes when I see clapped out rust cans and cars with horrendous amounts of tacky fibreglass bodykits bolted to them, but I am still very much a fan of the Z32. IMO, the best looking car Nissan have ever made.
  6. What a muppet. No wonder Zs aren't worth a duck's fart when inbreds like that doin that to them.
  7. I would have left it black. Doesn't match any of the plastics panels that contour the glass.
  8. LOL! I actually saw my first 'airborne' A380 yesterday afternoon as I drove past Heathrow. They look so much bigger when coming in to land than anything else I've seen in a long while. Very impressive sight.
  9. Can't remember, but Eaton use it when testing and so do Aerotek Aviation on their test rigs. It's an appoved product through BAE and EADS/Airbus.
  10. Airbus use it LOTS! LOL BAE have been using the stuff for years and years!
  11. My word! You maintain planes as well.....that's it, we're all doomed. Next time I see Skydrol pissing out of the wings, I'll know that 'Joel Pickering fixed that'. ;)
  12. Series 1 has belts on the doors. Unless your brother's Z is LHD, it won't be a US spec. US specs also have a secondary reel in the base of the door.
  13. I absolutely loved that Z. Shame it's gone. The only thing I'd change on it would have been to swap out the rear bumper for a Kaminari item which would have completed the smooth clean look.

Gumball3000's old car was a fine machine (not sure if he still has it), but IMO, the rear lights just don't look right at all.

Not sure why, but from this angle, it reminds me of a vehicle from Captain Scarlett.

    Horrible
  17. Just take the sump plug to your nearest motorfactors and get them to match one. :)
  18. Not seen one of those before. Interesting. Kinda like the funky styling. Looks like it's a concept of a Frontera.....(Isuzu Rodeo). Shame they couldn't do a bit more with that interior. Horrible stock Frontera dash.
  19. I think Apache has done this mod to his Z. It's been a good many years since I had a car that had interior lights that went off as soon as the door was closed. How hard is it to retro fit a time delay relay or whatever they are to a Z? Easy job or a PITA? I'd like it linked to the ignition barrel as I'd like to have that illuminated too.
  20. That is a good saving. I'm paying £450 on mine, but must look around for either cheaper deals or agreed value which I really should do.
  21. Agreed. Bit like the mid-90s Shogun (Pajero) and old Landrover Discoverys. Horrible wobbly drive.
  22. Thanks pal. :) Oh mate. Then I have a little challenge for you if you can. :) I'll pay ya or give you beer tokens. :)
