My New Project
AVS are good. Quite a classic old skool wheel from the 90s and suit the Z well. These I take it.

My New Project
Doesn't look like a scrap car. A good service, some decent wheels/UK spec wheels and a manual conversion and you're set. Seen far far worse about covered in fibreglass shite. Looks like you have a decent base to start with.

got another zed.... bit of a sight outside my house
If you do some work on the wide-arch to get rid of some of the nasties on it (front bumper, nose panel, wheels, bonnet urinal and the boat where the boot should be) then it will be worth keeping, otherwise I'd say yours. :) The new one looks pretty tidy and I think with some 'choice' mods, it will look good. :)

mileage
Read what Jason has said. It all depends on how well it's been looked after as with everything. There are cars on the US forums running 300,000 with original turbos. Yet, other cars, some over here are having engines pulled at 50k. All depends on how it was looked after and what condition it's in. If you're concerned, do a compression check to make sure the internals are still good. Then check to see what boost you're running. See if the turbos are boosting well and are not smokey. There is absolutely no point in anyone saying, 'at 145k, does it still have 50k life left on it' if you don't know the history or condition.

Funkysi / ZXeyes 99 Spec rears
They are quite different in person though Stu. Whilst Issac has done a very good job on his, they will still look very different to genuine 99s in person. They use different coloured diffusers and have chrome bezels. Genuine look very much brighter and more crisp in person. You can kinda tell from these comparison pics. But you instantly notice in person.

Funkysi / ZXeyes 99 Spec rears
My vernier says they are 1.52mm, so 1.5 would be what you're after. :)

got another zed.... bit of a sight outside my house
No thanks. Not my thing, but it's saveable! :) You know you were considering a 99-spec on yours (KYG), put your current one on that and that's an easy problem of ridding that bumper from it. :) Then all ya gotta do is get a tailgate and some cool deep dish wheels.

White UK spec looks lovely and clean. Good pics and nice turnout! If I'd not run so low on money already this month, I'd have gone. Looking to do some meets in other areas. :)

shit/drab/mundane cars with expensive/private plates.
Noticed a few lately. Tatty old Citroen BX estate yesterday with something like 21H. Also a Skoda Favorit with something like M1 JCM. Both cars being only worth about 50p with plates that make them worth a lot more! The plate on the BX must have been worth something in the tens of thousands. I use to see a Rover 400 with something similar. Now I like private plates, but could never have one on my car that was worth more than the car it was on, unless you're talking mega value cars with even more mega-value plates.

Funkysi / ZXeyes 99 Spec rears
Not at home at the moment stu. Can measure them later with my vernier callipers. Centre panel doesn't have them but it does share the same chrome bezels that the lights do.

Now that's a blast from the past! :wack:

had enough of
I watch almost no TV. News, documentaries and the odd film. Some of the worst ones I've had to sit through though....usually comedies...which you're supposed to enjoy, but I find 'Friends', 'My Family', '2 Pints of Lager and a packet of Crisps', 'Frasier'....etc to name but a few are about as funny as Richard Arnold (that twat with the face you watch to punch on ITV who watches too many soaps!). Why was Friends ever so popular? I haven't laughed at any of the episodes that I've been unfortunate to watch. On a lighter note, long may the following be shown on TV... 'Father Ted', 'The Inbetweeners', 'The Royale Family' and 'Shameless'.
