  1. Blimey! That engine bay really hurts to look at. That's horrific...sorry. :(. > exits thread.
  2. Without doubt the prettiest Jap cars ever conceived. One of the prettiest cars in the world IMO. But WTF 'widebody'? That's a stock shell!
  3. Green? :hurl:
  4. Bad idea. Furniture leather is thin and won't last. Hides are not that expensive and far easier than chopping up a tired old settee.
  5. Best bet is to have a gander here ---> http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=125
  6. The WORST bumper. The car is the epitome of bad taste. To think, he bought a beautiful car...and paid someone to make it look ugly. Yeah!
  7. Driven both. The auto is good if you want to race people off the lights, but that's not really what I like. I like to be able to enjoy downshifting at will, holding gears for as long as I want, they also sound a LOT better than the auto. You don't get the glorious run down or any popping and burbling. Not to mention when changing gear it actually sounds like a proper sports car. I have driven an auto Z32 and they are nice, but I just couldn't NOT have a manual gearbox on this type of car. I like auto cars a lot for pure ease of driving (I've owned a few in my time and driven plenty), but I want to have fun in the Z. Best way is with a manual gearbox. :) The real only plus point for me about Auto Z32s is that you can't really get dump valves to work on them. Saying that, the auto (when working) is good in the Z32. But I just have a preference for a manual.
  8. Oh I can!
  9. Mine's polished leather.....
  10. Silver chromed headlights are awful though, I'd rather chrome my bell end than my headlights. I looked at my photos again and still think stock headlights look cool. There's no glare to them, they don't look faded either, just dark and mysterious. :D Your vert looks ubber cool now with those new headlights.
  11. No, no and NO! If I do anything to the headlights, they'll be painted a black chrome. :) Chrome Z32 headlights are NOT nice.
  12. When are you going? I go to a lot of the LAZ32 meets. :) Got one in 2 weeks time. Having an ocean breakfast cruise through Orange county before meeting at Griffith park in Los Angeles. Already have 20+ Z32s going. Should be good. :)
  13. No, my car headlights would look utter shite with chrome paint in them. Absolutely no way. You loose the aggressive look with bright coloured headlights. Manufacturers are starting to move away from chromed inners on headlights now and reverting to black. VW are starting to do it and they look so much better for it.
  14. So glad you got rid of those awful chrome headlights. Looks sooooo much better now. I'd go for smoked LED lenses/covers/whatever.
  15. The turbo replacement won't have had any affect on your bottom end going. Sounds like there was already wear in the engine.
  16. I'd say go for 25mm at the front. There's a huge gap on stocks. Get UK rears (which are wider and have a dish to them) and space them out around about 10mm.
  17. I generally like the shape and design of the Jades. But what I can't stand and really detest about them is the 'Jade-R' embossed logo on the spoke. Every time I see or hear the word 'Jade', I think of this person ---> Also, I'd have to fit a custom flush fitting centre caps.
  18. Buick discontinued that about 6 or 7 years ago I think. So I doubt he'll be getting one of those. I'd say avoid ALL US SUVs. ALL of them. If you can imagine what driving a waterbed would be like, then that's what you'll get. I had a V8 Dodge Durango a few years ago and I had to take it back. The winding freeways of Southern California really were the car's bugbear. Horrible wallowy unsafe feeling, to the extreme.
  19. Many many times. Quite fortunate in the fact that I've travelled all over the world. Within the USA, I've visited 14 states. Another 2 when I head back in a few weeks. I always do a fly-drive, but book separately. The drive from LA to SF is far more picturesque, but driving through the desert (if you've never done it before) is incredible. Book flights through dialaflight.com and car rental with Avis. Dial a flight are excellent and I've bought 10 trans atlantic flights via them and also a flight to South Africa. Find them excellent and they can select days with airlines that will either suit your dates or pockets. Very good prices and a great company to deal with. Avis are also the most competative. Also they have no hidden costs or any extras. You get CDW and all the other stuff that sometimes are optional or 'extra' with companies like Enterprise etc.
  20. :wack: ;)
  21. Is yours at Jeff's now? I was up there on Thursday....probably saw it.
  22. Chris Evans is married to cousin of one of my close friends from LA. When he came over last I was due to go to Chris's house in London for a party with my mate. Alas, couldn't make it, but should be going to his pad hopefully when my friend comes back over. :)
  23. I know exactly what it is! It's still gay! It's nearly as bad as the rat-look scene.
  24. Gay. They all sound like a bunch of wasps having a fit.
