  1. Once you've done that though, get in and drive it, DO NOT leave it to idle from cold for 10 minutes like some people do thinking they're doing their engine huge favours!! Just take it steady.

  3. Sounds about right. When I bought my 99-spec spoiler from Ionic Dynamics, I met up with José who owns it and collected it from him. Due to the size, I mailed it back to myself that same day, now this was the 2nd day of a trip out to San Diego. I was there for 3 and a half weeks. When I got home, I was kinda expecting it to have arrived, but no. I had to wait another month for it to finally turn up! USPS must have loaded it onto a container ship and sent via Mombasa or something. Fookin' terrible service. Americans moan about it and know how bad it is. I say our postal system, despite its flaws, is actually half decent.

  5. That too! I might bring some Z1 SMICS back with me from Znationals. I am not taking carry-on!

  7. I have always thought that! As with any little modification I do to my car, I think about it for months, if not years before I actually take the plunge! The front end was definitely missing something. I think a final push from JoelyP on the subject made me do it and I am glad I did. I can't stop looking at the front of my car anymore!!! Thanks for the compliments! :)

  11. USPS are terrible, I completely agree, however when I send stuff from here to the US, it'll get handled by USPS and it usually takes 5-7 days. Shipping the other way round and it'll take WEEKS!

  13. They both have their merits. I personally have never had an issue with Z1 Motorsports. I know the guys there personally and have a great rapport with them. I have bought stuff from CZP too and they're also good. Best thing to do is to call Z1 rather than email. They'll get stuff sorted pronto!

  15. It's the first item that comes up on google....even if you simply type CZP!!
  16. Something I should have done a LONG time ago; I'm really happy with the new look of my front end. It's totally transformed it!
  17. Thanks dude! I want to get it looking just right for a road trip I am planning on doing down to the French and Italian rivieras next year...or possibly Corsica.
  18. Thanks guys! Thats the aim Gary. :) I've replaced all the roof trims, scuttle panel, had the wiper arms powdercoated, new windscreen (from last year), new rear screen trim. I really want it to look as new and as clean possible. What I am most pleased about however, other than the new Lexus pearl white paint is my gunmetal grey moustache and custom indicators/fogs. Sooooo happy with the end result on that! It's something that my front end was REALLY missing!
  19. Please note, bumper only held on with 2 bolts and not aligned, same goes for the nose panel. But I am slowly building it up. By the time I'd finished today, the body was pretty much completed. All the glass is now back in, headlights, built up the bumper and now fitted, same with the nose panel. Spoiler is also back on. Just the interior to refit now, probably be done by tomorrow evening. Had some extremely positive comments by passers-by today. Some very well to do people in the development where I live and a guy in a brand new Range Rover pulled up to tell me how beautiful it looked. I love how these cars still draw a HUGE amount of attention, even from people who could afford to buy 30 of them all at once!
  20. It's August the 3rd. If you check National Events section, there's a thread with all the details up. I was waiting until Coventry had finished to do the final push with this and arrange meet up points and convoys.
  21. Oh God! It appears it has a lot to live up to. It's not perfect by any means and it never will be. I am just trying to make as clean of an example as I possibly can within my means. Ideally I'd want to go concourse, but that takes more dedication that I currently have. It's a solid clean example though and that's all I really want from it. :) Hope to see you at at Beaulieu!
  22. Lovely work!! They look better than mine!!!!!!!!! Rebuild is going very well now. Glass guy came and refitted my rear screen and rear quarter windows - did a cracking job. I've just been adding trim to the doors, aligning the bonnet so that it sits completely perfectly and fitting my new roof trims...which is a PAIN IN THE ASS!
