PMSL, reminds me of a story my mate told me once. Was seeing this girl. Moved in with her, was seeing her for a few years. Got on quite well. Anyway, she used to wake up with eye problems. Carried on for a few months. Her eyes were all gooey and sticky when she woke up. She'd got fed up with this and went to see her doctor thinking she had conjunctivitis. Anyway, she'd been to see the doctor a number of times and he was unsure as to what was wrong. So tests were done. A few swabs were sent away for analysis. On return, the results were not as expected. The lab had informed the doctor that the supposed liquid secretion from her eyes was infact semen. Just so happened, the chap had been cracking one off on her face before he left for work as he did early shifts at the local Clarks distribution warehouse nearby. When she found out, she hit the roof. Needless to say, they aren't together anymore! :rofl:

Speak to your employer from the time you worked on that tax code and get them to write you a statement of earnings. It will declare your tax as well. You can't obtain a P45 from a previous tax year, but a statement of earnings can be sent through to you. You then need then find where your tax office is for you current employer (as that's where your records will be kept) and send them that info. If you've changed addresses they may ask you for your previous address and what have you. Draught a covering letter somewhere along the following....

Interesting one this. I've been on an emergency tax code since starting my new job back in August. Has been quite frustrating. :headvswal Enquired with the tax office and it appears my P45 from a job I did in the last financial year was not sent to the correct address, so even if I was put on a week1 tax code, I'd still not be able to claim the emergency tax back pro rata. Now the tax office wouldn't give me any of my own information telling me it was confidential....go figure.. :nelson: So I had to suss it all out for myself. Managed to get statement of earnings and various letters sent out. Phoned them up this morning after having another pay slip through with still the emergency tax code on it. Spoke to a chap there who indicently was very helpful. Said not only was a new tax code issued today and all my tax will be returned, but I also get a rebait of £500 from last year which should arrive as a cheque next week!! BONUS! :hyper: Only thing that pisses me off is that if I hadn't have flagged this up, I'd be £500 worse off. Gits!

Usually once a day, sometimes 3 times a day. Depends on the mood. Lately, almost none. Bored of it.

I tend to stay out of those type of threads.

Problem is chap, from what I can see....I am a mere noob, so I'm probably not as likeable as some...is that a few people take things toooooo seriously. :)

Culture is different though Dave, always has been. In europe people tend to have drink with food rather than to go out to a club and get pissed.

It might be both. Have to wait and see. Personally, I'm not a great believer. Whilst it won't affect me, noise levels around people's homes who are close to places with late licences will suffer with noise running later on. Also, the cases of drink driving may increase. If people are drinking later into the night and all the way into the morning....well, it speaks for itself. Only one way to find it is to see what happens. It'll be manic for the first few months until people get used to the idea of relaxed drinking.
