Z broken down - first time ever!
Last time I was under there all the wiring and the connector looked fine. I'm at my folk's at the moment so no access to get it up in the air, but will check that later. What did you do to fix the block connector?

Z broken down - first time ever!
All checked and nothing wrong with that. Battery and terminals are fine. Relays and pump react normally as it would before starting.

Z broken down - first time ever!
Well, the most reliable car I've owned has now broken down on me! Not sure I'll be at Coventry if I can't get this sorted. Symptoms: Engine won't crank - won't even try. All the dash lights come one. Fuel pump primes. Relays click. Nothing! I am wondering whether my immobiliser has shat its pants. It would normally disable the starter and the fuel pump. Fuel pump pump is clearly audible. I have no idea on the wiring of the immobiliser or indeed where it's actually fitted as it was fitted 12 years ago. Answers on a postcard please.

Refitting a stock steering wheel
There are, but I'll leave it until I fit it to take some photos! :) Ok, that's good, as long as I haven't overlooked anything additional. Baz has got me a slip ring and hopefully a bit of harness, so that's no problem and if that's all I need to reinstate the wheel and the original cruise, then happy days! :)

Refitting a stock steering wheel
I'm taking off my Nardi wheel and refitting with a Mondo-refurbished steering wheel with an Arubadave red Z logo. My Z has always had an aftermarket wheel fitted to it. It came over with a Momo 'Race' which didn't feel right in the car, I then fitted an old-skool 90s Momo wheel and then sourced my brand new-never been used 90s Nardi Torino. So it's always had a HICAS boss fitted and therefore I have never had anything to compare. I fettled the wiring so that the CC stalk works, so I'll need a replacement slip ring and a bit of harness which is no problem. I have looked on Nissan FAST and can't see if there's anything else required, so assume that once I remove the HICAS boss, I simply refit the stock wheel...?

What did you do to your zed today?
Not really an update as such, however Mondo has just shown me photos of my refurbished OEM wheel which he's just completed! Very happy with it indeed! My Nardi wheel, 95+ cruise control stalk and steering wheel cowling and HICAS boss will be up for sale shortly! :)

What did you do to your zed today?
I did tell you you'd have a terrible ride with your setup. I find the rear end really compliant now, less crashy than my Teins were. Really quite impressed! Looking forward to fitting the fronts and having a full alignment doing as mine is out!
