Auto - do I need power to move?
Hi All Just a quick question as I'm about to pick my Fairlady up (needs a flatbed). It needs a new battery (1.1V) and it's an auto, is it one of these autos that needs power to move? Someone told me some autos wont move without a power supply (news to me but not about to disagree). Andy

Hi from a Capri nut who is just about to become a Fairlady nut
The Father of the guy I purchased the car mine from. And 4 doors up is a white one. I think Wantage is a breeding ground for them

Thanks to everyone for the replies. I agree Sir Charles (that was a bit of a dissappointment - explained the bargain price) I'm afraid I can't answer the questions yet (like which exhaust / door cards etc.). Apart from a 20 minute chat with the owner and a few photos, is was mainly the wife saying buy it (she did drive my UAE spec 3000GT TT 4WD 4WS). What I know is that it has had a few mods, 6 speakers and sub in boot, slight increase in boost, all hoses replaced with Samco hoses. It was laid up a year ago after it started running rough one day, perfect the next, then rough again. But before that it was perfect. Only paperwork I have at present is receipt for wheels and a printout from a rolling road. Might have to drop Jeff a line as I can see I will need a few spares. Thanks again to everyone for the warm welcome. Andy

Hi from a Capri nut who is just about to become a Fairlady nut
I'll start with some Capri photos - just spent 2 years working on the 2.8i (after 12 years in storage). The JPS was my first Capri. Last one is rear light mod I worked on.

Hi from a Capri nut who is just about to become a Fairlady nut
Hi All After owning my Ford Capri since 1984 (2.8i), I have decided to buy another of my dream cars and at the same time 'modernise' a bit. So this afternoon I am off to see a 1989 TT LWB Fairlady auto. I am informed by the present owner who I work with, that they bought it over from Japan and are the only owners since then. They drove it for a few years but for the last year it has been sat in their garage. THe wheels & Tyres alone were approx. £800+ and the car is modified (slightly). Showroom condition except it doesn't start at present (not just flat battery?). Will check it out this afternoon and get some photos. The 'special' price to me as I will look after it is £1000 (Bargain) - well I hope  Andy
