Well. This one didn't last long. Unfortunately the zed I recently purchased has to go. Genuine reason for the sale and very very reluctant. Body work isn't terrible but being red it has faded etc but it is very solid. Engine pulls well. Little but of smoke which I'm told is residual oil from a recent turbo replacement. Speedo doesn't work and it's on 155k mix of miles and km. I intended to fix the speedo and put some new plasma dials in so they can come with the car along with and box of old bits and bobs. Japspeed exhaust system. She's and bit rough around the edges but drives well and isn't rotten so it's the Base of a great car should you want to bring the bodywork back to life. 4 brand new tyres too. Not my best for sale advert mainly because it's 330 am and I'm still gutted it's got to go. It'll be back on evilbay later this morning Any questions just ask. Photos to follow...

Well after being laid up for a few days with some kind of super man flu :lol: I've just taken the zed out for a few miles to see what was what. Drove lovely, seems quite lumpy and hesitant for a couple of minutes and then all is well. One thing which did concern me slightly was the temp gauge slowly rising and it did go all the way up. I turned the hot air on and it only blew cold for a couple of minutes, then it got hot and the temp gauge dropped back to normal and remained normal after I turned the blowers off. Almost as if there was a blockage in the cooling system perhaps? Speedo doesn't work. And then there's the advisory notices from the mot Nearside Front Tie bar/rod rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement (2.4.G.2) Offside Front Tie bar/rod rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement (2.4.G.2) Nearside Front Suspension component mounting prescribed area is corroded but not considered excessive tie bar front cross member (2.4.A.3) Offside Front Suspension component mounting prescribed area is corroded but not considered excessive tie bar front cross member (2.4.A.3) Play in steering rack inner joint(s) rear steering rack () Nearside Rear Track rod end ball joint dust cover deteriorated, but preventing the ingress of dirt rear steering rack (2.2.C.1c) Offside Rear Track rod end ball joint dust cover deteriorated, but preventing the ingress of dirt rear steering rack (2.2.C.1c) Nothing too serious as it stands. The rear pads are low too and I'm suprised they weren't on the advisory notice. Anyone have a clue about the temp gauge issue?

Alarm stopped. Battery must be completely dead. Got a mate coming over with jump leads. Will leave the battery hooked up with the jump car running for 5 mins as Jeff said and then take it for a drive

The alarm is currently going off. Not overly loud but the neighburs are out. All tools at work. Trying to source some jump leads... Awsome night so far

Had the zed 2 days and left the lights on 3 hours ago. I go to unlock the car using the hornet alarm fob and nothing.... no bleep. Now i haven't attempted to open the door because it's quite late and I'm worried the alarm will go off all night because the battery is dead. Any ADVICE? Shall I just try and open the door and start the car?

So they are. He's putting 4 tyres on it before collection so let's see if they go back on the right way :lol:

Cheers Jeff. Ive got this vehicle smart app and I did check that. But it's much appreciated and it seems like the whole front suspension could do with a good going over during the winter months. Nothing too serious by the looks of the advisory lists.

Any idea if a member owned it prior to him?

Thanks Gaz. It was recently on ebay and didn't sell at £2600. I had made contact with the owner a few hours before it was due to end and asked him to give me a call if it didn't reach its reserve. Lucky for me it didn't and we agreed a price after I viewed. Deposit left and I'm collecting Sunday. Happy days. Adam

Hi all. It's been a while, over 3 years infact. However I have finally secured myself another zed. Alot has happened in the last 3 years including a beautiful baby boy who turns 1 tomorrow. Collecting a tt auto targa top this Sunday. Looking forward to spending some time back on this awsome forum. I'll have to familiarise myself with the forum again aswell, I've forgot how to upload photos into a thread :confused1: and I'll be resubbing :winkiss:

Also before people jump on the bad wagon on how my message was out of order, let's not forget the amount of threads from online auctions and adverts that get posted on other people's zeds for sale and the amount of abuse that gets thrown at the car.

This is a forum. When you say "you lot on here" what do you mean? Don't shoot people down who ask a question about a price of a zed. Especially when the same people offer you advice when you need help on your zed.

I will buy a zed when I see a zed I like. Weather it costs me £500 or £5000. The advert itself just sent me a bad vibe. So yes I did send that message and I couldn't care less if I get a snotty reply back. Dan... I don't understand what your point is. I've seen you post this kind of stuff before now. A car has a price for a reason. Of course it matters how much a car costs. You'd be a fool to say it doesn't. My point is I don't belive people take their cars and their adverts seriously enough. I like to research my cars when I sell them and indeed before I buy them. To some people it may seem I'm being harsh. But that's they I see it.

I have just sent the following message to the seller. Upfront? Definitely. True? Yes I do not know if you are aware of the prices of the Z32. But yours I'm afraid is way off the mark. You will be lucky to get £4000 for your car. With such a poor advert and lack of information if this car sells I will be very suprised. If you wish to reconsider your price then email me back. If not then good luck, I'm afraid you will need it. I feel this will ruffle a few feathers and I'm not out to cause an argument. So opinions below please

Just been watching Al Murray on YouTube. I suggest his 2 of his videos to watch. One is called all murray against the Americans. And the other is all murray proves Britain has defeated every country (I think) I've got the roller coaster tour on DVD. Brilliant isn't it. Al Murray for me at the moment

Following on from Groovers Lee Evans thread, me and the Mrs are going to go to watch a show. Shortlist so far is as follows: John Bishop Al Murray Jason Manford I'd like to see mickey flannagen and Kevin Bridges but they're unavailable. Anyone been to see any of those 3? How was it?

I do like the look Si. I will look into it. I won't be rushing into it because I tend t make shite desicions when I do. I'm almost tempted to get a cheap daily. 2-3 grand and then get a decent zed in the winter months. So many choices. Even saw a 1998 mercedes S Class for sale for £3500.
