  3. Lol! Happy birthday mate. Hope your having a good one, and can see two of this thread now. Dave
  4. last ones, brings a tear to my eye just looking at them again.
  5. Couldn't post these before for obvious reasons but here's some phots of a very sad spin off. The owner Phill and another gtr owner were giving it welly round Castle Combe and Phil spun off. He span quite some way and ended up in the hay. The heat of the car set the hay on fire. The car would actually start, but because he thought the engine was on fire he got out. By that time the fire had took hold and the results were quite nasty. Its being rebuilt though and the damage isnt as bad as it looked apparently. Sounds like its going to be even more than the 600hp it already is. Good luck to Phil.

  7. Can't take the piss after his car went home on a flat bed! I'd feel cruel. Hope its ok mate!
  8. Good luck mate, hope its OK. Dave
  9. eek what happened, more sheep?
  10. Yeah, what white-zed said. Don't worry mate, just enjoy the car and let it settle. Keep an eye on things but don't jump to conclusions just yet. I'm sure it'll be fine.
  11. If it was fine when you tried the power again I wouldn't worry too much mate. Just keep an eye out for smoke when you put your foot down. Where abouts was the oil under? At the back left there are the oil seals at the end of the cams, my old one had a DIY repair around here and there was still a little smoke. Also the turbos are down below, there may be a tiny leak or some drops of oil dropping from above onto the hot turbo?
  12. Find a way to let her see this thread, then she'll see your genuine and you'll look great compared to everyone else on here!

Great day. Really enjoyed myself there and good to meet you all. I'll post the pictures later, and the little video at the severn toll. Don't know if its any good or not yet. Dave
  14. Ha Ha! you were shaking like a leaf!! Shame there wasn't another Zed to box him in. He was definately taking the piss there. Blatantly blocking you on an otherwise clear road. I thought you were part of the cruise, never realised you were on the way home! We eventually met everyone after waiting at the services for 20mins. Great day.Dave
  15. £5?! You must be selling drugs!
  16. Seems a fair dos to me! hire a Zed for 6 mths ,only £3k!! Dave
  17. Just off to clean mine, so you've got no excuse!!
  18. Buggar, don't want to risk it! wont get any work done for the next 6mths! Dave
  19. Just as an offshoot of this, my hks sits facing down at the front. It performs very well but when in heavy rain you have to stay at low speed else the car turns into a kangaroo! I think the twin cones help this problem by placing them in a little more rain sheltered position.
  20. That would do the trick I reckon? You have to take all the ancils off anyway to lift the engine, and you don't have to take the gearbox with it. My mate was doing his with a very small crane, but he was a bit of a cowboy. I don't know what weight my crane takes, its a bit beefier than his, prob a 750 jobbie. Hmm I think I'm rambling a bit!
  21. Are they different? I didn't know that. Any luck with your brakes by the way? Dave
  22. pmsl - plug him in and see if he lights up!
