Funny that, I had my wheels off last night to paint the calipers and I noticed exactly the same, all the rubbers half gone.

Maybe they didn't have a rhd car to take pics of coz the handbrake is on the wrong side in the pics so they must have been mirrored to make it look like rhd.

you can still get them, just search for 'show plates' on google, a few sites do them.

Hmmm don't think it's that pipe as the pipe itself is dry I know this is def a recent leak as it's all over the loom to the alarm I had fitted last week. I'll keep an eye on the fluid levels over the next couple of weeks and see which one goes down.

It seems the fluid is on the inner wheel arch between the washer top up and the big black pot

that is true, if I wanted hassle free motoring I would have bought something a lot newer, but even then you aren't gauranteed everything to be ok. I guess I was just lucky with my 525i 1990 only thing that went wrong on that was a cable snapped in 3 years.

it's an n/a I thought it would be more reliable but getting probs with it already only had it 2 weeks!

If I knew what the stuff was I might have a better idea where it came from lol

I had the bonnet up earlier and noticed some brown residue on the inner wing near the power steering pot, some of it had dried and was like a coating of treacle. Checked level in the power steering pot and clutch and they seem ok, anyone know what the stuff could be? Chris.

Anyone on here? have seen it around Havant a couple of times too.

Cheers guys got it. It was the panel between the headlights not sat right and the rubber was squeaking against the bumper. I thought it was prob the suspension it didn't occur to me that it could have been that. Cheers :D

talking of other halfs, mine asked if there were any airbags fitted and I said only the one sat next to me love! :rofl: Then she :slap: me :rofl:

When driving down the road I get an annoying squeak coming from somewhere, it sounds like its at the front somewhere maybe on the suspension. Anyone else had anything similar as I dont know where it is so don't know where to start looking. Chris.

I've just changed a water pipe on the Z and topped the system with water for now to check all is ok. Whats the capacity of the cooling system? And what mix of coolant and water do you use? I was thinking 50/50. Chris.

Went to fix a little water hose that burst on my n/a this morning, the one right at the back of the engine, and what a git to get at. Got the top off ok but couldn't get at the bottom circlip tried lots of things, then it rains. 3 hours later go back out and have another go, took me 4 hours just to get the thing off! Now I've got the hassle of getting a circlip back on the bottom, I think the way it's going it'll take a few more hours! They certainly shoehorn that bloody engine in there, there's just no room to fiddle about in there. Looks like I'm finding out about the joys of Z ownership and i've only had it a week! Chris.

I've got an n/a and a small pipe right at the back of the engine going vertically down towards the matrix pipes has just split on me and p*ssed water everywhere. Looks like it's gonna be a right pain to get to as I can't even see the other end of it! Is taking the front of the exhaust off the only way?? Chris.

Nice tanks you both have. I keep marine fish, hard work but worth it. I don't know much about fresh water coz I jumped in at the deep end and went straight for marines so it was sink or swim lol. There are some good forums online for fishkeepers if you need any help or advice. Chris.

Well I'm now the proud owner of a 91 n/a manual in pearl yellow. Did the opposite of what everyone says and bought the first one I saw LOL. The HKS superdragger sounds gorgeous and it has an induction kit but not sure what it is yet. One thing I have noticed is sometimes the tickover stays at about 1200 revs, any ideas what could cause it? Chris. ps. can't post a pic it won't let me :confused:

it's already got hks superdragger and induction kit sounds lovely when you pull away.
