Looks very nice!
Not sure if it's just the pic but one thing is the nose panel and N/S headlight alignment looks a bit off at the bonnet a wee bit?

I miss the car more every time I see your posts mate!

Thanks for the quick reply folks..
I worried that repair panels would be a swear word in this world?
Repair panels it is then.
Just along the M8 in Bathgate.
Nice to see another Scottish person here!
I'm Zedlesss just now, but just over in Airdrie.

Brilliant mate, delighted for you that it is finally back and in good order.
Time to drive and enjoy before the winter.

If it's the turbo, check the boost hoses and see if there is any oil in there, depending on a leak you will have oil in the hoses.

Happy hunting mate, there is some projects out there, I would try and look for the one with the least rust ?

Welcome mate and hope you love the car!
Full reg number and a few pics may help people with recognising it for you.

The T.50 is another in the mix, some crazy cars being produced just now, shame us mere mortals will most likely never drive them!

Hi lads,
Does anyone else like the AMG One?
From the outside it seems to sound quite muted, but inside it sounds mega I reckon!

A couple of the hydraulic lifters were getting stuck causing idle issues and compression issues as a result. We believe it was due to the oil pump slowly failing, due to age. By failing, it couldn’t provide sufficient oil pressure and oil to the heads, therefore starving the lifters of oil. This was a symptom of its way to failure. One of the turbos was seized as from memory one of the boost pipes was hanging off on one side, causing the opposite bank turbo to over boost, and seize. Compression was down on a good couple of the cylinders - I’m on my phone at the moment so difficult to scroll back and check, but I detailed the issues back in last September/October. I’ve got a photo of the old engine heads and they are squeaky, I mean squeaky clean, which backs up the amount of oil changes you and all the owners have done on this car. No sign of any darkness or varnish layers as you get with engines that have not been maintained.
No worries bud, oil pump is something we don't ever really think about on cars, water/coolant pumps usually get changed, but you tend to forget about the oil pump with it being away in the depths of the engine.
Safe to say it will be good for many a year once you have finished it ?

All looking fantastic mate!
You may have mentioned already, but what was the main issue that had caused the engine trouble, was there anything specific, or just wear and tear over the years?

Looking much more like how I remember it!

I kind of like the brighter blue, even though TK3 blue is darker on mot cars I've seen.
Stonechip is something badly missed on modern cars, so much rust and damage is caused lower down on cars due to no stone chip and no mud / splash guards, used to be common place!

Good find that, would have ruined all the hard work when it rusted through!

Is that what it’s called, a w wing?
I assume it’s aftermarket. Do you know anything about them?
No that's call a typo lol!
I couldn't say who made that particular wing, my kit was from Wings West though, but there are so many out there.

Hi mate, hope you enjoy it, reminds me of my first Zed which was black as well with w wing like that, but was an SWB.
I reckon you will have some rust to deal with going by the engine bay, hopefully not too bad.

She’s certainly had some love from all the owners hasn’t she. None of us have ran her on the cheap for sure! Hope your C63 is serving you well still, although with current fuel prices, it’s probably bankrupting you ??.
It's been off the road since November, the roads are salted here from November and still salted now, and it's no fun driving in that, just rusts the cars as well, then I've recently had a knee operation, but recovering well.
Also over winter stripped all the brakes and swapped most bits and had the calipers sent away for repair, the cash spending just carries on matter what car you have ?
Will be taxed and MOT'd again at the start of April though....the price of super unleaded is incredible!
