sorry what i meant is that my mate did the hit and run and he had to await a vedict which never came, but his insurance payed out within 1 week to the 3rd party.

my mate did a hit and run, not clever but he was scared, nevertheless no excuse to do it, the stupid idiot. anyway an hour after the police came down, they had a right go at him and threatened him with a notice off something, basicly they said theyre will be a letter in the post for him to go to court, few years later he received nowt, but his insurance did pay the other person off, anyway, i think in this scenario he was lucky as the person most likely didnt want to persue.
