i always use my local kwik fit for jobs on my car. it obviously helps as i know them all who work there n they're glad to work on a real car for a change plus they never ever take it out on the road cos they say its too powerfull for them. i have to take them out in it. its the law they keep telling me!?! i too have lightweight pulley from ebay (2fast 2cool). i use the consult to check and set timing so no need for timing marks. :cool: Chris.

i agree. my stock gauge was showing just over the 7 mark and when i fitted my aftermarkets it was only running 10psi.

yes you do need shorter belts. i fitted mine last year. its a good excuse to replace all 3 belts. its makes the engine rev a lot quicker. i have since fitted a lighter flywheel too and it now revs like a bike engine n feels much quicker. :hyper:

you dont need to remove the air con compressor when removing the engine. if you look underneath at each end of the cross member there is a 14mm nut for the engine mounts.

i reckon you need to be checking all your water pipes round the back of your engine n maybe you got air lock in water system. mine did it regular for ages till i pulled the engine and replaced all water pipes. best of luck.

i've always had 2 zx's. :) 1 of them is my manual tt in my sig pic. :dance: the other is a little red citroen zx n/a diesel. :( cant fault the red shitron. 500mile on £25 derv compared to 120 mile on £65 optimax (the way i drive it!). cant use black slag now cos i've blown head gaskets and am saving up for bits to do full engine build ready for next year in the hope of getting low 12's or even high 11's at strip. :dance:

how long has it been on the car? if you not sure, i'd just change it tbh.

no need to buy from ebay. i can get these made in either real leather or vinyl(as they come standard). you can even have a choice of colours to match your car and a design of your choice embroidered on them. :dance:

thats the clutch i use. i cant fault it in any way. :bow: i've had it in for 18mth and dun 2 track days, numerous days at the drag strip(running 12.7s) and even been to germany n round nurburgring!! :dance: i've fitted the same clutch to 3 other zx's and 2 honda crx's and they never had any bother with them.
